I had invited suggestions for the proposed revamping of Sadhak (http://www20.brinkster.com/sadhak) and so far, I have got suggestions from Anu, Rohit Anand, Pankaj Sharma, Vijay Child Of Devi (VCD) and Anurag Goel. Unfortunately, I can not implement all of them because most are already implemented at Sadhak and some, like including other religions, just can't be implemented. Here are the chosen one's: a. Guruji's Pravachans:-----------------> Anub. Cassette Review:-------------------> Anuc. Sadhanas:--------------------------> Anu, Pankaj Sharma, Rohit Anandd. Experiences related to sadhanas:-----> Anu, Rohit Anand, VCDe. Views of other illuminated souls:------> Anuf. Downloadables like wallpapers:--------> Rohit Anandg. Contact Info of Spiritual Institutions:-> Rohit Anandh. Creating a Panel to Answer Queries:--> Rohit Anandi. Article Rating System:----------------> Anu, Anurag Goel These are only a few of what I expect from this group. I need suggestions from everyone. Also, those who have already sent in there suggestion can send more if they like. After the next round of suggestion, I would post a detailed reports on what feature are already there, which will be introduced and why some of them should be avoided. As per the tradition of this group, we must have a discussion on this topic too. This is where I miss my buddies Arvind and Charanjit. Where are you guys? This is a good time to pop in. Actually I could have come back few days back, but you have exchanged so much messages that it took me more than a week to browse through all more than 300 messages. Anyway I am back now. Ashish is taking a good lead for revamping the site. Very shortly I will put up my suggestions. May I now request the Respected President Madam Anu to include my name also in the list of writer (I now I am slow but I will try my best). Please take it confirm, if my application is accepted. This is a good time to pop in. > some of the things i want to suggest are already there, so iam trying to make only one suggestion currently and will let u know if i have more, my suggestion is MY REQUEST functionality so this MY REQUEST functionality will have basically 1)People who make request 2) People who fulfill requests 3) request itself and 4)request urgency where they can specify the time period within which the request should be fulfilled say someomce can enquire abt a sadhana and give the fullfiller of requests say 15 days/before march 20.... any visitor to the website can make a request , but people people who are interested in fulfilling request have to register with sadhak,and they should be visible to people who are making requests becos the people who are making request can direct a request to a single fulfiller of request or bunch of fullfillers of requests and the Requests can be following 1)stotra/poem 2)sadhana procedures 3)general enquiries 4)suggestions 5)complaints 6)recommendations 7) others you can add more... so pls understand the direction . if u dont understand , clearly let me, know ill try to clarify. A perfect match for Rohit's suggestion for a panel to answer queries. But, I think, we must also register the visitors who want to submit their requests. Otherwise, someone like you might > request a Blonde Bombshell > say i requested, so can u get me one, dont pose. yes visitors should be allowed to write their email addresses to wchih the requests should be send, though they should not be forced too... becos by making registration of visitor compusory, u will be in a way discouraging them, so just email id should be ok if they want to , and if they want to tell more abt themselves they can go to the registration screen , which i dont think poeple would appreciate... i thought it would be an useful discussion, only once you decide to do it, so didnt go into details...
