Guest guest Posted July 4, 2001 Report Share Posted July 4, 2001 Jai Gurudev Dear Brothers, I would like to know about the keeping fast on Guru Purnima-cum-Moon Eclipse day. I had read that one should not eat and drink anything today. And I m trying to follow that. But since I m new to the fast and this is the second time in my life that I am keeping a fast, I m not that comfortable. So my question is that whether is it possible to take atleast water and keep only eating fast. Second is what are we supposed to do before opening fast i.e. we have to give any pray, what are we supposed to donate etc. A quick reply will surely help. Please keep me informed. Thanks for the reply. In fact I had also tried to contaced Gurudham and got the reply and I had take that granted. They had told me that if possible try to be on fast only between the eclipse period. And I can very well take water during the day time. Nand KIshore GURUji is not back yet, he may come tomorrow. but it may not be possible for me to see him. However, you are here. Just call up, ask to see him, and go and meet him to present the issue. Since i never had any proper appointment with GURUJi, and not meeting him was as likely as meeting him, i did not call you. They were working days.
