A suggestion

i was thinking these days most of the mesages that come to the discussion

group are regarding the promotion n taking care of new webiste which might

not be interesting to the some of the members of this discussion group who

r not the disciples of Pujya Gurudev. I suggest that for issues a

different discussion group can be created or such mails be sent only to

people who r interested in knowing abt it. I think its good to create one

more discussion group and lets leave it to the new comer if he/she wishes

to join both or only this discussion group.

 

A new comer who is not a disciple of Pujya Gurudev may not be interested

in these issues what that person will look for is the knowledge that can

lead him to enlightment.

Our aim, here, is to help such people. We want to promote this group

so that more people can find a way to enlightenment, we get more

capable members to help newbies and help remove myths. We created the

new website because we wanted knowledge, contained in this group, to

be preserved in a proper manner. All these things are necessary to

promote Guruji's teachings.

there we will discuss the above things like promotion of spiritual message

setting n improvement of web site etc. Currenlty on the discussion group

we have all these kind of messages which may not be appealing to members

of the discussion group n moreover such messages should be targeted only

to interested people. Hence a need for new discussion group or other

alternative is that we keep a email list of all such members in our mail

box n direct our emails which is abt Website n all to these members only.

Creating a new website may cause confusion and the additional

complexity may cause the accumlation of disinterest ,in this time

limited world, u cant always go to both sites and keep checking,

take for example having hotmailid and id , how inconvenient its

to daily check for mails in both ids,so besides there are only 10(max)

active members, basically no one has complained about the

disinterest, if people start complaining and posting their

disinterest regarding prachar on the web , then we can go for poll

and follow the consensus if its appealing.

we can try other alternatives,ashish and anurag both understand , i

think we follow the anurags email option or arvinds option of delphi,

but transferring to new site and getting habituated takes some time

and we may loose memmbers.

anurag i dont see the current discusions on prachar a real

problem,probably u may have real concerns regarding this matter in

your mind , please let us know clearly ur concern so that we can

discuss and come to a conclusion.

 

Basically we have configured our membership in such a way that we

dont recieve mails and daily and we can go to website and look for

messages,so there is no real problem,

another good idea as already proposed by arvind is naming the message

4ALL and so on

arvind should see that new members who have joined are aware of all

this posting guidelines , so the first email should contain all this

guidelines, mail can be sent automatically or personally by arvind by

identifying the new members.

 

And posting guidelines should be kept on the website.

see right now other than main site we have brinkster,and the current

list and now defenitly its not a good idea to go for a 2nd

 

i hope u understand the problem correctly and right solution

automatcally follows.

we have to think and act,just thinking or just acting dosent pay.

We have not created a new website, it's just a technical sub-section

of this group limited only to those who are interested in promoting

ISSP. As Anurag said, people come here to fine tune their quest for

enlightenment and if they find discussions about creating websites

and promoting ISSP, they may leave, misunderstanding the idea.

I guess, at present, you, al least, visit two sites daily: 1. The

main site 2. This group. So, I don't think, it hurts to simply append

a '2' to this groups address. Does it?

Maybe you'll remember, a few days ago, we received a mail saying, 'It

hurts to receive 75 mails about how to hold rosary and turn beads'.

In April, this group received 217 ( 0r more ) posts, most of which

were about creating a new website. Then we received multiple

requests. Got the point?

Hey, come on guyz. You are ready to transfer the whole group to a

totally new place, but oppose the idea of creating a sub-section here

at with an easy to remember address !!! Why???

i really appreciate the Zeal,energy and time you put in Gurudev's

work.

I should learn this art from you and from other dedicated members on

this (for their time,energy,enthusiasm and

sincerity,humbleness and zeal).

I think this problem was solved by posting the guidelinses for

unsubscription and the email option deactivation....Most of the

credit goes to your sincere effort of making the 'HOW TO

UNSUBSCRIBE'.As a result of which we have 83 members. +12 increase,

and after that action we really did not get any unsubscibe messages,

i may be wrong,as i continiously and consistently dont monitor this

ISSP List, like u and other active members.

I dont support transfering to a new group , you can see from my

message when i told that we would be loosing members which shows that

i dont support it completly, but what i was trying to support is the

idea that if we shift we can avoid the problems in future that we are

currently facing.
