Guest guest Report post Posted May 25, 2001 - dear sanjay, we all have all kinds of persistent and difficult confusions. I do hope some one with the means takes a picture, and scans it for you. but, why do you not go to siddhashram --(the one in kohat enclave, pritampura) to find out. Go after the 1st june, shrivastav uncle is on a trip right now. call before you go -- 7182248. and take a rosary there and ask him, or anyone else there to demonstrate it for you. i know in delhi distances are huge, and this can be half a day work. to the best of memory, and i ask others to intervene if i am wrong: different fingers are used for different purposes. 2nd finger is for gaining bal among others 3rd is more for attraction (of deity too) there is no harm in the 2nd finger touching the third when you chant a mantra. the first finger should not touch the rosary in any case, nor should your nails. about the 4th i am not sure, i only read it anurag's mail. after completeing a round, touch the rosary to your eyes +forehead, and reverse it and start again -- you never go round and round a rosary it is like +,-,+,-. or so i believe. but, thinking of it, even i can be rather misinformed. and may need to be corrected. some times we keep making a mistake for years before realizing it. so, i hope someone right here takes the initative + trouble and gives you authentic, + satisfactory answer. if going to kohat enclave is tough send a mail. Guptaji is very efficient in answering mails-- you will get a reply in a day or 2. i never post my questions here. i always ask him my doubts. and he never tires of answering. jai gurudev anu -- In , Sanjay Dudeja <sanjaydudeja> wrote: > Date : 25/05/2001 > > Jai Gurudev ! > > On which Finger one should hang rosary for Mantra > changing. > > WHETHER > On Larger Finger (2nd Finger) > OR > On Ring Finger (3rd Finger) > OR > On Joining Both Fingers (Larger Finger & Ring Finger) > > If possible Please post a picture on website showing > how to hold rosary and turn the beads. > > Please guide soon. > > Regards : Sanjay Dudeja > > > > > > Auctions - buy the things you want at great prices > http://auctions./
