Jai Gurudev Lathishji,

 

I am posting answer to your queries on the newsgroup for general use.

Hope u dont mind!

 

First of all, a warm welcome to u.

You may take Diksha either personally or by sending photo. I think

that a passport size photo is sufficient.

Diksha is granted by pujya Gurudev during auspicious muhuraths.

Shakipaat is a very subtle process, involving flow of spiritual

energy from Gurudev to disciple. Pujya gurudev is omnipresent and

omniscient. U need not be physically present to get shaktipaat. I

guess that physical contact is just one of the mediums. The Gurutatva

is present everywhere in the Brahmaand (universe), and Diksha is a

method of getting joined with it.

After Guru Diksha, ur photo will be returned back, and u will get

Diksha card and Guru Mantra, Gayatri Mantra and Chetna Mantra. U will

need to chant at least 4 malas of Guru mantra & 1 mala each of

Gayatri Mantra & Chetna Mantra daily. Of course, the more Guru Mantra

u chant, the closer u will get to Gurudev, and higher will be yr

success.

 

I dont know anyone from Mangalore. However, there are quite a lot of

people from Karnataka on this forum.

i came to know about your gurudev through website and

through books, iam intersted in taking diksha. but

through some problems i could not got jodhpur, so iam

planing to take diksha through photograph. so can u

please tell the process of the above diksha how does

it work, and also do shakthipath occur in this method

Jai Gurudev,

 

Passport size photo is small. At least a Post Card size photo with face

looking in front. The photo should be a close up one like a portrait. This

I have confirmed with Gurudev.
