Guest guest Report post Posted November 24, 2000 welcome Gurubhai, There is lots and lots of info about the spiritual path of Sadhanas. It is mentioned in mahabharat etc. that - the Rishi did tapasya and obtained Ashtra. Or Rishi went by "akaash marg". Or everybody was "sammohit" by Krishnaji. or Hanumanji flew to lanka, or changed his size etc. All these sound like myth to our modern, westernised ears. But they are not. These sciences and "vidyas" were Truth and knowledge to achieve this feat was available. This knowledge is available now also. Pujaniya Gurudev Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimaliji resurrected these sciences from oblivion. Even sciences like transfer of soul from one body to another was performed by Shankaaracharya some hundreds of years ago. All this knowledge and vidyas are for real and are available. You may start by monthly reading the Mantra Tantra Yantra Vigyan magazine which is published in English and Hindi. You can to it. Pujaniya Gurudev has also written hundreds of books. You should read books like - Dhyaan Dhaarana Aur Samadhi, Fir Door Kahin Paayal Khanki, Vishwa ki alokik Sadhanaayey, Vishwa Ki Shresth Dikshaayey. There are lots of audio and video cassettes also. But, just reading the books and listening to pravachans isnt going to be sufficient. You should do Sadhanas yourself to witness their practicalities. It all depends on your interests and plans. I believe that Gurudev has given us Sadhanas for almost everything. Kathmandu Siddhashram Shakti Centre might have old issues of magazine. If they allow, u can borrow and read them. There are hundreds of streams to choose from - kundalini, meditation, ayurveda, astrology, hypnotism, palmistry, numerology, signature-analysis, sadhanas for wealth, solving problems, talking with ghosts, achieving siddhis like flying in air, peeping into future/past, witnessing past lives, etc. etc. You should perform Sadhana after taking Diksha from Pujaniya Gurudev. Welcome again, I think that a shivir is scheduled in Nepal in Shivratri. You should attend it.
