Somani Memorial Building, Cuffe Parade. Bombay 400 005. It has the Sanskrit moolam. It is one of the most authentic translations I have seen. I would greatly appreciate any information on existing editions: publisher's name, year and place of publication, ISBN if possible, etc. Thanks in advance. It is very good, it includes the original devanagari for both the verses and commentary, as well as English translations of both. I don't have the ISBN #, but it is one of the books I am hoping to acquire on my trip to India this year. All I remember about it was that it had a white cover with colored letters in the title. Of course, it might have been published differently. See http://www.best.com/~mani/sv/books/books.html If you are going to be in Madras, you can publish M.R. Sampatkumaran's translation with notes from Desika's Tatparyacandrika. Guest guest Report post Posted March 22, 1999 Dear members, Both books M.R Sampath kumaran ( MRS) and Swami Adidevananda (SA) are somewhat tough to read since the english translations are complicated, more so with M.R Sampathkumaran's book than Swami Adidevananda's. However, a summary of Ramanuja Bhasya by S.S Raghavachar - "Ramanuja on Gita" available from Ramakrishnashrama press anywhere or Vivekananda Vedanta society, is a great book for starters who just want a quick essence or Sri Ramanuja Bhasya. Sampatkumaran's translation of the Gitabhashya has the Sanskrit mUlam of the Gita, but not the mUlam of Ramanuja's bhashya. I think everyone who has any interest in the Gita or Ramanuja should obtain Sri Sampatakumaran's translation.
