A doubt

Dear friends,

 

I have a doubt in the words of "eppo varuvaaro",

kriti of Gopalakrishna Bharati.

 

In the anupallavi

"appar mudal moovarum Aludai adigalum"

Aludai-pillai refers to Sambandhar who is already

covered in "appar mudal moovar". Who is Aludai adigal?

>From the context it seems to refer to

Manikkavaachakar. Is this a well-known epithet of

Manikkavaachakar or is it one given by the author?

ALuDaiya AdikaL refers to mANikka vAsakar. vaLLalAr in

his aruLmAlai refers to these four saints as ALuDaiya

piLLaiyAr , ALuDaiya arasu , ALuDaiya n^ambi ,

ALuDaiya aDikaL and on each heading praises the glory

of these saints.
