Guest guest Posted September 14, 2001 Report Posted September 14, 2001 i took a yoga class yesterday and found it incredibly difficult. My breathe felt short, my body felt grief. I found almost any backbending asana virtually impossible b/c my heart just could not open up and joyously expand. I almost felt guilty for even having a body that can practice asana. The experience of grief makes you really experience backbending asanas as a gateway to opening the heart on every level - physical, emotional and spiritual. On another level, I felt that asana practice was one of the most positive things I could do at this horrific time. By creating peace in my own being I am contributing to peace in the world. <br><br>I found out that Guruji will be teaching on Saturday 6am at the puck building. Quote
