Guest guest Report post Posted July 3, 2001 Anybody ever have a strain of the xiphoid process? It's the small bone/cartilage at the bottom of the sternum. It's not particularly painful, but a rather sharp twinge when moving arms when my chest is inflated. It doesn't happen with every movement, but it happens enough even with surya namaskara (sp?) that I feel like I should give it a rest.

Thoughts?

Namaste,

Jim

Guest guest Report post Posted July 4, 2001 Hi Robin,

Thanks for your response. Perhaps the xyphoid problem is what happens when you are way over 30! LOL

How did you work through the sternum inflammation? Ease off or just press through it? How long did it take?

Namaste,

Jim
