I'd suggest that if you have a good grasp of 1st

series and have studied with a good astanga teacher, you

could form an astanga club in your town and start

giving away what you have learned. I've found that

practing with others is a tremendous motivator.

In

a perfect situation (one which I currently enjoy)

we can practice every day under the guidance of a

teacher personally certified by PK Jois.

But if

we all had to wait for a certified astanga teacher

to come to our towns and establish a shala, most of

us would be waiting a long, long time before

learning anything about this wonderfully transformative

practice of yoga.

So, I believe we have to do the

best we can with what we have.

(Come to think

of it, that's a roundabout definition of yoga right

there!)
