Guest guest Report post Posted November 13, 1999 As I understand ArdhoMS, the elbows should actually be facing *upwards* as much as possible, while the shoulders are rolling downwards as you widen and open the fronts of the armpits.<br><br>One way I was taught that helped me with understanding elbow position is this posture might also be helpful to you.<br><br>Raise both of your arms in front of you, palms upward, arms about 3/4 extended. Now, keep your elbows where they are, but turn your palms *downward.* <br><br>Now extend your arms fully, or as much as possible with your elbows in the same position.
