Guest guest Report post Posted May 28, 1999 Hello all!<br><br>I have been practising Ashtanga yoga for a few months now. Slowly, I am seeing improvements in my strength and flexibility. However, there is one pose that I am having a lot of trouble with - Chaturanga! I find it extremely difficult to lower myself in a push-up position and hold this posture. I usually end up collapsing when I attempt to lower my body much from the Plank pose. <br><br>I have been practising Sun Salutations 5-6 times/week, and am not seeing much in the way of improvement. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might help me acheive this pose? Would actual push-ups help build my upper-body strength, perhaps?<br><br>Thanks in advance!
