This attribution  is consistant with the evokation of the archangels and the

formation of the gates in Qabalistic ritual.

Raphael = Air = East = Yellow

Michael = Fire = South = Red

Gabrael = Water = West = Blue

Auriel = Earth = North = Citrine, Russet, Olive and Black.

[North) "By the Earth that is Her Body,"

(East) "By the Air that is Her Breath,"

(South) "By the Fire that is Her Spirit,"

(West) "By the Waters of Her Womb"]

the above correspondences to cardinal directions and elements are shared by

most indigenous people, including first nations.

but coming from a keltic tradition, one of the most beautiful i've read is by

frank mills and is called "the oran mor".  i note it here as the creation myth

is described as:

"Quiet—

Eternal Quiet.

Not even the sound of the restless, stirring, dark waters could

be heard.

Then, a great spiraling strain of Melody moved across the endless

waters. Subdued at first, then quickly gathering momentum until

it reached a great crescendo.

And, then, there was Life!"

and can be read in full at :

thinking of your enjoying the flow of melody :)
