Devi Durga along with Murugan is that , as I have spoken to numerous

Lord Murugan Devotees is that the spear He holds in His hand is

representation of Shakti Energie ( Joti )

, symbolically Murugan kills the Demons with this Spear ( meaning the

Shatki Energy ). Another interesting thing I found in the work I was

doing is that , it is the belive that the Skanda's Shatki Energy

currently is on Its rise , or an Awakening process.

Thank you Joanna, and welcome to the group.

In the navdurga [ the nine durgas, worshipped during the

navarathri ], the Fifth Navdurga is knowned as : Skandamata or the

Mother of Skanda [ another name for Murugan ]. As Skandamata she is

shown as Rising a lion as Her chosen vehicle, She holds Her son

skanda [ with 5 heads ] on her lap. She displays three eyes and four

hands; two hands holds lotuses while the other two hand display

defending and granting mudras, respectively.
