Pranam. It is true that one should be generous but we must do so within our

limits. There is a saying in Tamil which says " Aatril pottalum alanthu podu"

that means to have a limit in all things. That is also the Thirukural's

statement. Here is the kural...

 

Prosperous as his life may appear, unless a man

measures well his wealth, it will disappear without a trace.

 

How swiftly a generous man's riches dwindle and die,

if he does not evaluate the limits of his means.
