I am sorry for writing an email on personal lines in a Group, but I need some

help. I have been in great sadness all my life (the reasons for which are many),

the only wish ,hope that kept me optimistic was that something good will happen

in the future. But as the goddess wills, things only got worse. I have worked

hard all my life to fight the many pains and fears i hold. I use my spiritual

path to help me, and to help others. But I haven't reached this spiritual path

easily........i have walked through a lot of unealthy paths to get here. But I

still haven't learnt to let go of my fears abd pains . I lost my grandmother

this year , she was the vital part of my small family. Now I just have a sister

to call as family. Unfortunately she has some psychological issues . All my life

I have been looking for love and attention. Even maybe begged for it. People

have come, used and gone. I would tell myself " I am going to strong , so what

if i am isolated?" . But the next hurdle in life, and i will be crying again.

This is the reason why I give so much attention to friends. They give me a sense

of belonging and love that every individual needs. Sometimes I even smother a

friend with love and affection. Not intentionally. I am in a lot of pain right

now, cause I think I am losing my best friend. Somebody who has been a pillar of

strength and guidance for me. I feel like a part of me is dying. This person has

been an inspiration for me to get my life started again and to focus on my

goddess given talents. And now i am losing this person. I dont know how to

describe the pain i am going through. How does it feel to push ur own guru and

guide , away from you? I smothered this person with so much love and attention,

that i am losing him now. In my fear of losing someone special to me, I have

actually managed to do exactly that . I feel so isolated right now . I dont know

where to turn so i am writing these words in pain. Please dont mind it. Suicide

is the cowards way out, and i am not going to take it . I know I am here for a

purpose, and i hope my friend will forgive me someday.

I am new to this list (thank you for inviting me to join, List Mother), but I

feel for you. Please know that the world would be a lesser place without you in

it; your suffering will ease; I know that's easy for me to say, but it is true.

All of us suffer to some degree, and only the one who is suffering knows how

badly it affects them. Try to think of the good things in your life that have

happened and know that you have more to look forward to. Goddess loves you and

blesses you, sometimes with lessons that bring pain, but we have to have faith

that they are for a reason and try to learn from them. May the Goddess shine on

you with many blessings!

remember the song in Sound of music "when I am sad i think of the things I

like............................"

we all have problems; look inward and you will see that when you wanbt to hold

on to something the thing goes away.

Like someone earlier said it is easy to say and hard to practice.

May i make one suggestion? All of us have some talent or other some are good

analysts; some are psychic lets put our talents together and help Sudha. I for

one am going to pray and send reiki to her wounded soul.

Hope Sudha will accept it.

Namaste Sudha!

Feeling sad is not a bad thing provided that it impels

you to overcoming it. Let me also congragulate you on

your fortitude, for how many people are stuck in a

vicious cycle of sadness/depression without wanting to

come out of it. Progress no doubt starts with a frank

assessment of where you stand.

IMHO, there is only one person who can help you

out-YOURSELF. Others no doubt be a lamp post to lean

on temporarily. Since name of this list says sadhana,

I will two things that let you control the flow of

awareness

1)posture- erect spine with chest protruding out and

abdomen in and deep breathing abdominally.

2)rhythmic breath- breath in and breath out to the

same count

Doing 1) alone puts you in positive state of mind. If

you dont feel positive then you are not doing it

right.

Doing 2) lets you control the flow of thought.

Doing both lets you stay in any kind of environment

with a positive frame of mind.

These, I learned from my Gurudeva(Satguru Sivaya

Subramuniya swami, www.gurudeva.org).

God bless you!

Yoga man

Tuesday, November 12, 2002 9:23 AM

Re: PLEASE HELP

Sudha, Yogaman is absolutely right-on here. Experiencing a great deal of my

own physical and personal pain has been a blessing here. The other day, I was

telling my doctor this, and he had this puzzled look on his face. "Pain" I

explained to him, "Impels us to take action, humans do not take action when they

are satisfied, generally speaking. Pain not only forces one to dive deeply

within to find something more permanent and real, but it also makes one more

empathetic to others in pain. To know one's own depths, the heaven and hell of

it, is to know everyone, for we all have the same happiness, the same sorrow,

even if the triggers are a little different...the heart is the same in all".

I promise you that if you can first learn to understand this pain, then make

peace with it, then transcend it, though it may seem comletely negative right

now, that you will indeed be a better man for it and in a sense thankful, as odd

as that seems right now..

Dear all,

I am a passive member of this boad & I really enjoy going through articles

from all learned members and some I store it in my archive for future

reference.

As a devi worshiper myself - I chant LALITHA SAHASRANAMA NAMAVALI before

breakfact and start my day & last year,,I got initiated in MANTRA BY AMMA -

about whom we discuss now and then on this board.

I write this on behalf of a family member - who has problem in all walks of

life. She is very spiritual- she also chants LS & professionally qualified

but for the last 10 yrs she has seen many phases of life - which has left

her with low self esteem.

My request is for Devi worshipper's to suggest her some prayer to overcome

persistant obstacles WHICH SHE IS FACING NOW and find success in life. raji

Dear Raji:

Tell her to try Khadgamala Stotram. It would be perfect for her.

You'll find lots of info here in the Group and archived on the home

page. The opening post is here (unarchived as yet), and the posts

continue from there:

/message/9273

Also refer to this link for an mp3 of Guruji's recitation and links to

the full text of the Stotram.

We will try to help her from here as well, I think. Maybe she will do

us the honor of joining us?

I believe my posting looks clueless. I did send it to moderator's. I

believe their charity works form Malaysia to help needy in India. If you

accept money transaction then please send me your postal address.

Ive been trying to track this particular message. Where did it start

from. Help from where? May I know. Now since we are in this topic of

helping others. Just a little opinion from me.

I have nothing against helping others. Yes! go ahead help others,

but should we not look at our own back yard first.

I was chatting with several friends mostly indian expat working

here. They told me : if I want to donate food, I rather do it in

India. People there will appreciate it better. Why not donate food

here in Malaysia especially to the many children home. They say :

the children here do not appreciate the food we sponsor. Perhaps

they are right you see. Children here are all well feed especially

from the children home. They received many donations in terms of

food.

But we need to analyse this situation. What do they really lack? To

me its Education. Thus my priority being set : Help them with the

Education first.

So you must look at the economic, geographical & political

situation before we start sending money. We shouldnt just send money

blindly without thinking weather this money will do them any good?

Look at the Tsunami incident. Did all those money pledge actually

reach the victims?

I know there are many Malaysian Indians here in the group. This is

based on my own observation. Just look at the homes at a glance :

almost 70% are Indian/Hindu children. Just study their background,

will tell you the real situation.

Somebody from India pleaded me once : come to India and help us. My

answer is : Right now my commitment is here where I am. DEVI wants

me here and so I shall remain here to do what I must. Why look

outside and try to solve others problem when the actual situation is

right before you, where you can do something about it.

We can share information, set network where we all can work together

with ONE VISION but we must look within our own back yard first. It

does not make sense to have a foreign organization coming to

Malaysia to raise funds for those in India or any other country,

when the own people in Malaysia who really needs it are being

ignored.

Thanks, I totally share your point of view. I thought I read that SS works

via Malaysia to help needy in India. Hence, I posted.

I share your view totally, Your question Is money really going to people who

are really in need. That is why I am looking for some spiritual

organistation, whose goal is to directly help the needy but not to benefit

for themselves.

I once again thank and appreciation your point of view.

Finally, I am new to Malaysia - Mrs. Madaswamy you are invited to my place

if you happen to visit Malaysia - by the way On 13th of November - there is

KUMBAABSHIKAM in Batu caves. raji.

hahhaaaa attacked me!!!! I have the guardians [ u must past them

first ]

Yes I am aware of the Batu cave Kumbaabshikam. Started few days ago,

a very major event meant to cleanse Batu Cave Temple especially all
