  1. please listen, all of you, I very badly need to know; is it alright to pooja or invoke the Gods, or one's Ishta Devata during pitra paksha? I have so far recieved disappointing answers from everyone whom I have asked in person; for example; my auntieji says the Gods are asleep during these 15 days, which I find completely ridiculous; it is said that our Gods do not blink, sweat, leave footprints, or cast shadows, and furthermore, being manifestations of divinity, would they not, each and every one be, to at least some extent, all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful, and present-everywhere? If it is so, then whence comes this need for our Gods to sleep? Above and beyond this, is not a sanaatani's relationship with his or her God a very intimate one? Why then would God be unavailable to help a devotee during pitra paksha? Please someone reply when you are able.. thanx
