Jai Sriman Narayana:

Who said God did not create life on other galaxies and on what basis did they say that? FYI, the word "created" is wrong as it seems to indicate that at some point of time there was nothing and then God created everything. This is not what the Sastras say. The right word to use is "manifested".

where is the proof, I dont belive without seeing or feeling that there is life outside earth, which sastra says that there is life outside earth. you first said there was nothing and then god created everything, what do you mean by everything

  2. I am not able to understand what is so great about krishna, I go to all temples and I dont have any preference

There are so many Gods, like Rama, Ganesh, Siva, etc and each one has their own family God (ie who worship a particular god right from the begining of their family origin), that being the case why there is so much Emphasis on Krishan alone. is it because of Gita or something else, some one please clarify...

  3. BJP activists raise Cain over ‘cross’

    Wednesday September 12 2007 14:30 IST ENS

TIRUPATI: BJP activists demolished a fibre structure resembling ‘Holy Cross’ at Alipiri, the gateway to Tirumala, this evening.

Learning of a six feet structure was being taken to Tirumala and was waiting at Alipiri for routine security checks, BJP activists rushed to the spot and climbed the truck and destroyed the pillar.

The 15 feet pillar was a sample of the 125 pillars being taken to Tirumala to line up the four Mada Streets for the Brahmotsavams.

BJP leaders Bhanuprakash Reddy, Samanchi Srinivas and others opposed the move of the TTD to erect such structures on Tirumala.

When contacted by this website’s News Paper, TTD Chief Engineer BVS Koteswara Rao said that they were installing the pillars resembling the architecture of the era of Sri Krishnadevaraya along the four Mada Streets, behind the galleries, for the annual Brahmotsavams.

These structures were to be used for hanging pots and bells adorned with flowers as part of the decorations.

The destruction of the fibre pillars was an act of ignorant fools, he remarked.

I'm doing a research project comparing Krishna and Christ. While looking through some books on the subject I came across this comment which confused me a little:

For some time Nanda was unaware that Krishna was but a foster-child and not his own son after the flesh; so too, perhaps, Joseph who looked after the Child Jesus.

What confused me was that this comment likens Nanda to Joseph (Jesus' "father"), when it seemed to me that Vasudeva would be a more obvious comparison. I've come to the conclusion that the person who wrote this passage sees Nanda and Yasoda moreso Krishna's parents than Vasudeva and Devaki though, so I have this question:

Was Yasoda pregnant before Vishnu set his plan to be incarnated in motion, making Yasoda somewhat of "virgin mother" to Krishna, or was Yasoda's pregnancy something that occured beforehand? In other words, was the baby conceived by Yasoda that was switched with Krishna of divine conception?

Krishna and Jesus are two different entities, you cannot compare them, Krishna is God but jesus is just a messanger of god, I think you understand the basic diffrence

First let me make something very clear for you and I hope all the so called Brahmins by birth will read this. These people are NOT Brahmin. Don't ever see these poeple as Brahmins, these are greedy, selfish , self centered creatures who are only carrying the name of Brahmin. These people love to brag and tell everyone they are Brahmin and they look down upon others. These people are NOT Hindu, they are only following a culture a Brahmin culture which they made up on their own along the way. Most people in India are no longer following Vedic culture. Hinduism was lost many a thousand years ago. Hinduism is no longer there, only small pockets of Hindu gurus and teachers are fighting to keep the religion alive, hanging on every breath to save Vedic culture from the leeches *(so called Brahmins) that have ruined Indian society.

So before you go any further you must get into your head these people are not Brahmin. In every Hindu scripture, it says only qualities of a person makes one a Brahmin. It is only the behavior.

You don't believe me I will list for you and you can look at Hindu scripture yourself.

    Truth

    Charity

    Forgiveness

    Benevolence

    Benignity

    Kindness

    Study of Vedic scripture

Buddha also defined Brahmin based on qualities.

Now you tell me if your boss is a Brahmin or a leech.

you are right he is not a brahmin he must be a leech

There are many misconceptions about Lord Jagannath and Ratha-yatra. We should understand the tattva that Mahaprabhu described, that Mahaprabhu manifested, because Mahaprabhu is the supreme authority. Who is Jagannath? There is no difference between Mahaprabhu, Krishna and Jagannath: "sei krsna, sei gaura, sei jagannatha". The people in general don’t understand. They have many speculations or concoctions.

They are proud of their material learning, merit, intelligence and knowledge. But one cannot understand the Supreme Lord without the mercy of the Lord. That is the only thing required. And they are not hearing from a sadhu, guru, vaisnava, without which no one can understand. Only a dear devotee of Jagannath, Krishna, Mahaprabhu will understand. Mahaprabhu is an acarya. He came as an acarya, sadhu-guru, and He has described the tattva behind Ratha-yatra. It isn’t easy to understand — paramo nirmatsaranam satam vedyam.1 Srimad Bhagavatam says who can understand — only a vaisnava who is non-envious. Although others may hear, still they cannot understand. It won’t enter into their ears. I will describe the history and tattva of Ratha-yatra according to how Mahaprabhu has revealed it.

    Jagannath’s Birthday

Skanda Purana is the biggest Purana of the eighteen Puranas. There is one khanda named Utkal-khanda. In Utkal-khanda we find everything regarding Lord Jagannath and Purusottama-ksetra, which is also known as Jagannath-ksetra. Vyasadeva has written it. In Skanda Purana Lord Jagannath tells Maharaja Indradyumna, "O King, I appeared on the full moon day of the month of Jyestha." This is the day on which we observe Snana Purnima — Lord Jagannath’s public bath. That was in the Svayambhuva manvantara, in the first part of Satya-yuga. Lord Jagannath said, "I appeared, being pleased with the performance of yajna and bhakti." This is the birthday of Jagannath-deva. So every year on this day the public bathing ceremony should be performed — that was the order of Jagannath to Indradyumna Maharaja. Maharaja Indradyumna is a great devotee. He performed one thousand horse sacrifices. Being pleased with his devotee and his yajna performance, Lord Jagannath appeared in the second part of the Svayambhuva manvantara and Brahma installed the deities in the temple.

    Ancient History

If you calculate this period you will find the dates on which the building of the Jagannath temple started, when the temple was inaugurated, and when the Deities were installed on their simhasana. This was fifteen crores and thirty-four lakhs (153,400,000) years ago. This is according to the authority of Skanda Purana. Ratha-yatra began in Svarocisa Manu’s time. There are fourteen Manus in one day of Brahma. Their period of reign is called a manvantara. Vaivasvata manvantara is going on now. Svayambhuva is the first Manu, then Svarocisa, followed by Uttama, Tamasa, Raivata, and Caksusa. Presently Vaivasvata Manu is going on. Next will come Savarni, Daksa-savarni, Brahma-savarni, Dharma-savarni, Rudra-savarni, Deva-savarni, Indra-savarni. Fourteen manus in all. Svarocisa Manu is the second Manu and according to Skanda Purana the Ratha-yatra began during his reign. That was Satya-yuga, and Ratha-yatra has been continuing up till now. It is mentioned that this will continue until the end of the second parardha [half] period of Brahma. Brahma’s lifetime is one hundred years. So Ratha-yatra will continue to go on for half of his lifetime.

There is no need to pray to God for your problem. Be strong and face the truth and accept your past mistakes and present payment. Learn from your mistakes to avoid future mistakes. See your problem as a lesson from God to teach you of your mistakes. This is knowledge. One who has proper knowledge, has no any problem.

You are totally wrong, do you know why people go to temples, churchs and mosques...God likes us to test us and in return expects us to beg his help....

  8. i work of a company where my manager is a brahmin. He has given lot of abroad offers to brahmins only, he has given promotions and more salary hike to brahmins only. if any bodys name ends with iyer and iyengar he will be happy to meet him and do all the favours.

My specific case I am an software programmer I am performing equally well with all other brahmins but for me no promotions no salary hike nor no abroad offers.. why is this biasness...

will a brahmin get reward in the heven if he helps other brahmins alone?

  9.

Guesto, of course you are going to stick up for the Brahmin caste, you are a Brahmin. Your caste has caused so much death and destruction that it is not even funny. We all know that Muslims and Christians are bad but guess what kid? Brahmins are in the same boat. No different then violent and opressive Muslims and Christians other then the fact that Brahmins, since they are cowardly by nature opressed people spiritually via a harsh caste system.

How did you come to a conclusion that Muslims and christans are bad, just by looking at the new papers and watching news, Even RSS people burnt lot of muslims and chirstians alive they didnt even spare a priest in the church

for that sake even gandhi was killed by an hindu, indra gandhi was killed by so called shiks, rajiv gandhi was killed by hindus

this is not the question of cast it is the question of what type of human you are.

  10.

Really you're a Brahmin? Wow I feel so sorry for you! I wonder what you were in your past life to take bith as a Brahmin looking at Brahmin history. I wish I can help you. It's ok, many God's and Goddess's came down to fight brahminical ego, if you pray to them it will rid you of Brahmin birth and you will get a better life. Even though the Lord feels sorry for you as well, It's God's promise that you will lose your Brahmin ego and take birth in a better pious life.

Brahmin will better take birth as a dog rather than a pious man. I hate Brahmins from the bottom of my heart

"Ko nahi janat hai jag mein kapi sankat-mochan naam tiharo"

This line is present in Hanuman Ashtak. I did not find this line anywhere inside Hanuman Chalisa. So, from where is Hanuman Ashtak taken? Is Hanuman Ashtak a part of Ramacharitmanas(Sundar Kand may be?). Or, is it independent?

it is believed that Hanuman is still alive on some parts somewhere in himalayas

  12.

The great Adi Sankaracharya traveld along indaia a number of times. That is from kanyakumari to himalaya. As per me it is a difficult task considering his period as 32 years. I came to know from some old Malayalam writings that he was able to travel through air with the use of his yogavidya. Any one knows about this.

I think a study on this will help us to know about the mysterious secretes of Hinduism and yoga. Because he lived three hundred years ago I suppose.

how can anyone travel through air with out plane or helicopter or atleast a gas balloon?
