Hare Krsna, Jndas! Thank you for answering my letter. You say there are different categories of mantras, and different definitions for the word mantra based on the category of mantra invoked. Could you tell me about those categories and other definitions of word "mantra"? Thank you. Your servant, Dennis.

*** FOR JAYASRIRADHE Hare Krsna! You say in your letter that a devotee should vizualise his Lord while he's chanting Hari-nam. But what for? Satsvarupa Maharaja says in his "Japa reform" that one should not impose anything to his mind during japa. One should not think of Krsna's pastimes, for they must appear themselves when we are chanting. Moreover, as far as I know, Hari-nam is Krsna himself. Hari-nam includes krsna-rupa, krsna-guna and krsna-lila… So when we chant properly, without nama-aparadha, Hari-nam will reveal to us all those things… Krsna's form, Krsna's qualities, Krsna's pastimes. Your servant, Dennis. P.S. Please, forgive me my bad English and unhimility. It seems to me that I will never be revealed the sweet of Hari-nam... I can't be tolerant as a tree and always will consider myself more important than a straw… :-(

Hare Krsna! Why do we fast? To reduce the requirements of our body? And what happens, when we're fasitng? I've heard, that we begin to receive some kind of a "life energy" (prana?) from space... that there're some centres in our body which open and begin to suck that energy from space when we're fasting. As far as I know, "Mantra" is a sound vibration that can deliver the mind from illusion. So I don't understand, how did vedic brahmans use to start fire with a mantra? Could anybody explain me the way the mantras work? Thank you ps. please forgive me my bad English.
