Which state are you in? Many of the holy places have become picnic spots or tourist spots with lots of pollution and disturbance. There are still a few isolated places that remain untouched where sadhus can stay and do tapasya. There is a mountain in Orissa which is connected with the sapta rishis in a mystical way. It contains the saptarishi gateway which higher beings use to travel between their realm and ours. It is hard to stay there and do sadhana as it is remote, etc., but some sadhus are there.

You can perform sadhana at their peethams. There are many holy places linked to the Saptarishis, some well known and some only known among sadhus. Performing dhyanam and sadhana at their own places opens the link to them.

I can only suggest Mahamrityunjaya mantra, and prayer, but there is no guarantee that it will work as there are so many karmic factors involved.
