  1. im confused between how to distinguish between manav, danav and asur? what is the difference between these? i believe they originated from different wives of Rishi Kashyap?
  2. eat at regular intervals too. like every 3 hours to help your metabolism. but everytime, eat a suitable amount, not huge amounts of food. try eating smaller amounts of 4 or 5 meals a day
  3. they better keep it original, im not sure if they'll pull it off as good as BR Chopras Mahabharata, but with new technology and wireworks hopefully they can add somin new. although in my opinion these bollywood people shouldnt be acting out such people of the Mahabharata. who will play Lord Krishna?
  4. yeh i read about this too. seems pretty weird to me.
  5. i was taught this at a young age, and found i have been experiencing this for years. every time, whenever my left has flickered, something bad has happened within a few weeks, and also opposite with right. i also get in parts of body, but this has had slightly softer implications, i.e. not as bad/good as eye twitches. from what ive learnt, right is good for men, left is good for women. i remember once Morari Bapu mentioned it in a katha, and ive heard it is written in scriptures. a gift of bhakti??
  6. ^^ yeh i thought so. anyone know where you can buy pure sandalwood in london?
  7. i even have the a stick of what is pparently sandalwood, doesnt smell of it at all, who knows what the guy in India sold my mother. so how do u make it yourself? i mean how do u grinf it upto into small bits for a paste/?
  8. ive heard it is very cooling, and helps make skin clear and radiant(useful for acne) where did u buy it??? ive bought from a few places, but they have added other rubbish and perfume and things into it, it doesnt form a smooth proper paste.
  9. its so true, i dont really see Hindus spread the world at all. being a young teenager in my community i see all the time, most of the people my own age do not no much at all about our own faith!! they know some about diwali and holi, and like thats it. first off we need to educate ourselves, and only when we fully understand ourselves can we even preach to others. i see how different we are from for example muslims. i mean in my college (im in london btw), all the muslim kids usually might be discussing about religion amongst themselves, and have a strong presence, they dont deny their roots at all. i get the feeling a lot of us are kinda shy about Sanatan Dharma
  10. mixed marriges can work, however imo as you get older your likely to become more spiritual and probably practise religion more as you mature, and ofcourse it would be easier if both partners were to worship in the same way together:) perhaps one partner could change, but it is false to think that you will definitely convince the other of a particular way of practise,
  11. what is an akshauhini, and was it true that in each army only warriors of equal calibre would battle each other, e.g: guy on horse can only fight others on horses.etc???
  12. LOL yes yes, big up ourselves.
  13. i wasnt too sure on this either, i mean all the teachings lead to non-violence, o killing etc. however what i did see in this documentary on someones visit to the himalayas and the tibetan Buddhist sides, is that the small population living on mountains survive on yak meat. yet they are living in the midst of a spirtual site?!
  14. From what ive heard from people who are quite well versed, is that inside the Kaballah (home of Allah) there is actually a huge Shiva Linga !!!
  15. im not sure where, but it was stated that Hanuman Dada would reside on earth through the ages. and wherever there is worship of Lord Sri Ram he will be present observing his eternal faithfulness to the Lord.
