  1. I read the history written by shivaji. Let me Guide you about the real Islam here. Let me clear one thing first, that Islam is not a religion brought by Prophet Muhammed. Its the religion from God Almighty. Let us analyse little here. Is Moses said his religion is called 'JEWS'?? NO. And nowhere in any of Jews's scripture says their religion is called Jews. But later they took the name of one of their tribes. Did Jesus said his religion is Christianity?? And nowhere in the Bible, either in the Old or New Testaments, it says their religion is called Christianity. Nowhere. Later the anti christians, who were against Jesus, they called them by that name. Was there any religion called 'Hindu'? we know that the Persians they called the people who lived in certain area. But Quran it confirms that your religion is Islam, and other religion will be acceptable. and those who follow Islam is called a Muslim. The meaning of word Islam is those who submit his will to the true God. And in Quran confirms again that, Adam was a Muslim, Noah (researches are still going on, as Noah is very similar to Manu Maharshi, the period and all, even the name 'Ma Nuh'),Abraham, Moses, Jesus were all Muslims. Prophet Muhammed is the last Prophet in that chain. Quran speaks about 25 Prophets by name. and Prophet Muhammed said there are 1,25,000 Prophets. But by name Quran speaks about only 25. All the prophets were teaching Monotheism. Most of the prophets were given Gospels / Scriptures. A Muslim is not a Muslim until he believes in all the prophets. A Muslim should believe in Moses, Jesus and all other. The people later their Prophets, started writing their own way, and say that, this is from God. So the scriptures revealed from God was with God's word and men's. Still you can see that, if you study Bible, either the Old TEstament or New Testament. We know that all these prophets came to guide the people in the righ path. But when you read the old testament, we can see that, Prophet Noah, once he drank well and started dancing, and he became nude. Can you believe such things are God's word? Do such Prophets astray that way? Its just an example. There are many morethings. So, the same thing happend in all other scriptures also. I regret to say that, it has happend in Vedas also. We should learn about how the scriptures were preserved? Here Vedas when was it written? None of the Hindu Scholars have proper knowledge about it. They just say it may be 4,000yrs ago. some they differs. and who wrote it? how it was written? how it was preserved? See the Bible! How it was preserved? Who wrote the New Testament? when you open the new testament you can see that, Gospel according to Mathew, Gospel according to MArk, Gospel according to Luke and Gospel according to John. what is this 'according to'? they are not very sure that its from them. now the Bible says Jesus preached Gospels to that people. Where is that Gospel, which Jesus really preached. we cannot see the 'Gospel of Jesus' in the Bible. When Quran was revealing this was the status of all other scriptures in this world. Quran clarifies that: 2:79 "Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from God," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby." Now the History. We know that when the historical age begins. Historical ages started in A.D. So according to History, there is no evidence that Jesus lived. HOw bout Vedas then?? They dont' have any evidence on it. Now the researchers. In Ramayana, it says Sri Rama and Hanuman they built a bridge to Lanka to save Sita from Ravana. Do we have any monument or proofs for that? Last time when the issue came regarding Babri MAsjid. The Hindus were claiming its the Ram Janma Bhoomi where the Babari Mosque there now. But according to Ramayana, it says the distance from Sarayu River, which is not the place where Babri Masjid is situated. But thats not the subject here, actually that time, the Archeologist did some research on it and found no evidence. Even the fossil study, doesnt' show any lives there during that period as it says in Ramayana. We should say it may be a story to guide the people in a right path. Now Quran and Prophet Muhammed, are in the very clear Historical age. So, there is no doubt on it one who study about Quran and Prophet Muhammed. The story written by Shivaji is not treu at all. Such stories are spreading by the anti Islamic writers. You can refer any of the Encyclopedias, or Authenticated History Books. 'Allah' the ARabic word means 'Al Ilah'. Ilah means one who, we can worship. and the Islamic Kalima is 'La Ilaha Illallah' meaning La means No, there is no god but Allah. God Bless all of us.
  2. You are absolutely correct Avinash. According to Quran God has no form and He is unique. And according to Vedas God has no form and He is unique as I quoted earlier. And according to Bible also God has no form and He is unique. Deuteronomy Chapter 4, Verse 15-19. " Be most careful then, because you saw nothing at the time the Lord spoke to you at Horeb from the fire’s midst. I say this so you will not corrupt yourselves by making an image in the form of any kind of figure, the likeness of a human male or a female, of any kind of land animal, of a bird that flies in the sky, of any insect on the ground, or of any fish in the deep waters of the earth. It is also to guard you against looking up to the sky and seeing the sun, moon, and stars—the whole heavenly creation —and then being seduced by them to worship and serve them, things that the Lord your God has distributed among all the people of the world. and read the New Testament also. Mark 12:28,29 "Now one of the experts in the law came and heard them debating. When he saw that Jesus answered them well, he asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” Jesus answered, “The most important is: ‘Listen, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one."
  3. As im a Muslim, the answer for your question as mentioned in the Holy Quran is "God has created us only to worship him". Much as we long for a perfect world, we are compelled to live in an imperfect one. Our happiness is always short-lived and our every succes is, in some way, eventually a failure. The aspirations that we cherish in the early days of our lives are shattered as we begin to age. Just as we begin to take root on earth, disaster, old age and death overtake us. How enchanting the flowers are, but they blossom only to wither. Miraculous though man's existence is, no miracle can save him from death. Everything in this world shall perish. This world must be inconclusive. Another world must follow to compensate for the inadequacies fo the present one. Paradise is that eternal world of God in which his attributes will appear in all their perfection. [This message has been edited by fayarus (edited 06-09-2002).]
