My father , born Aug 1933, will hit 80 in Aug 2013. I would like to do the 80th birthday ceremony for my parents. I believe it is called Satha-abhisekham. I am getting different directions from friends I spoke to. Some of them state that I have to do it this Aug 2012 , as he gets into the 80th year of his life where as some say I have to do it in Aug 2013, as he completes 80th year of his life. Please advise as to which is the correct procedure here. Also any guidance as to what needs to be done for this ceremony is much appreciated.
