I had Rabi Maharaj's book and read it all. I am a Christian who is a devotee of a guru from the Hindu tradition. Since my faith in Jesus Christ did not come back until I had my first darshan with my guru, I obviously CANNOT agree with Mr Maharaj's idea that the form of Jesus is the "only way!"
As I recall, what Mr. Maharaj did in his book, however well-intentioned, was to compare some very good, very spirit-filled Christians with some very bad Hindus.
This tiresome practice is frequently employed by anyone who wants to promote his own religion or view over all others. Also, I believe Mr. Maharaj was not well-schooled in the deep truths of his own religion; his family as described in the booked happened to be very dysfunctional and filled with strife. For whatever reason, they had fallen away from the great truth and value of their heritage as Hindus. That happens in Christian, Jewish, Muslim families and individuals as well. It is part of the human condition, not a reason to grab onto one religion and commence reviling all others.
