I bought a bead from a Delhi footpath once...was told it was Rudraksha, it cost a few rupees and it was beautiful with a shivalinga, trishul and snake. That was years ago and it brought me really good fortune. Though I now wear real rudraksha it is still very much loved and I keep it on my altar. Must be the effect of those nicely carved sacred symbols !( it is one of the kind that is made of some black resin mixture. )
