But there are also several verses in the gita and other scriptures which state that there are and will be many fake gods/holy men (especially in the kali yuga, our current yug) who claim to represent god but are in fact just mortal men. Now considering that the kali yuga has been going on for the last couple of thousand years, jesus christ/mohammed/etc are probably what krshna was talking about.
