As a Christian sometimes I feel embarassed because so many other Christians are so quick to say that another belief practice is 'silly' or whatever before understanding what it is all about. Chanting is like a prayer-how can talking to God be silly? So many Christians seem to exhude (sp?) hatred and it sometimes seems cultish. Jesus said we are to love each other- our neighbours, everyone. All this yelling and not trying to understand another person's beliefs doesn't seem to come from love but more like a 'need to convert'- like for brownie points or something.
