Some say that to be a Hindu is to believe in Vedas and do some rituals, study the Vedas and other things. Others say that for to be a Hindu is necessary perform the Namakarana Samskara, and this is the one way. Just say "I am a Hindu" is not suficient and correct.
If I see Hinduism as a tradition, and study Shrutis and Smritis, then I am a Hindu.
But, if I see Hinduism as a religion, I can say that I am Hindu just with Namakarana.
This is correct?
