  1. Bhuddhist monks were probably celibate. Sannyasis in India. Apostles in Christianity and so on. All religions recommend some sort of marriage rites and control of sex to some degree I believe. The highest ones control illicit sex more than the lower ones. For example, Krishna didn't preach in the Bhagavad-Gita not to engage in homosexual activity to Arjuna because it wasn't necessary to tell such a great personality not to do such a fallen activity, there was no need.
  2. Are devotees really able to do it or are we all just practicing and pretending until we are able to? this is a serious question please do not erase it!!!
  3. Oh please Ganesh I know you remove all obstacles to pure devotional service please help me to follow the four regulative principles THIS TIME!!
  4. Uh oh. Sometimes I start to cry a little in kirtana or my voice starts to freeze up so I have to stop chanting. I have seen a sannyasi do this also, Jayadwaita Swami, at least that is what it looks like to me. He smiles a lot at Ratha yatra. But the most it has lasted is like four or five words with me. Who is ganapati?
  5. thank you for taking the time to post those transcendental instructions. they were so ecstatic! I can't wait to get back into reading Srila Prabhupada's books!!!
  6. It may have been from the "Matha" but it seemed alright but I didn't read it all. I hope all that wasn't for my benefit alone. I will go back to reading Srila Prabhupada's books. I don't reveal anything to anybody who personally knows me about what I feel for Radharani because that would definately be seen as sahajiya and I don't need that! I will stick to Prabhupada's books with a few exceptions and will study more soon. I only have two or three days online before I cancel. Thanks for all the help. dust
  7. Call me a prakrta-sahajiya, but I just want to serve the servant of the servant of the servant of the Dearmost Servant of Lord Sri Krishna... and nobody knows who I am in here anyways...
  8. Jaya! Jaya! Jaya! Jaya! Jaya! I so wanted to read some books! Maybe it was just certain translations Srila Prabhupada didn't want his disciples to read. I can't say how happy I am. Thank you prabhuji all glories to your service. I am done.
  9. are there any statements from guru, sadhu and sastra backing up your position? I have been hearing so many different thoughts on the matter. I need something authoritative.
  10. The newspaper of the Hare Krishna movement. Krishna has lots of games he plays with the cowherd boys and they are more fun than playing golf.
  11. Why did the six goswamis write down exalted books of loving pastimes of Sri Sri Radha and Krishna? It was only five hundred years ago. Was it under direction of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu? Was it because all of them could not HELP but write these things down, as they were feeling the mellows of SEPERATION from Sri Sri Radha and Krishna and were DEVASTATED? If so, I can understand that. But what have the acaryas said about reading these books? Did Bhaktivinode Thakura and Srila Bhaktisiddhanta say we could read some or all of them? Did Srila Prabhupada? I heard we CANNOT READ THEM AT ALL! If we cannot read them can any Gaudiya Vaishnavas read them? If they were to be allowed to read them would they also have to be completely pure? Can only pure devotees read these books???
  12. (crying in seperation from the painting) sob sob sigh boo hoo hoo boo hoo waaaaahhhhhhhh sob sob sob
  13. It is of the mayur lila in mayur kutir. It is a painting commissioned by Radharani herself done by an old brijabasi. In it Krishna and Radharani are dancing madly as peacocks. I will search more for it later I have to go now.
  14. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!!
  15. If you don't do it for me can you do it for Radhastami? There is a picture painted by a blind man in Varshana on a wall inside a building there about 100 years ago. It was printed in a BTG magazine. It is a peacock and anyone who looks at this picture for long enough will become a gopi, no it's true. Does anybody know how to see this picture and how to copy and paste it here? I need to see this painting!
  16. but what i did read was very nice and gave me new respect for Sridhara Swami. As far as Tripurari Swami I will call him swami but I will never read his bhagavad-gita unless i hear he falls down then i won't call him swami anymore. But only if i see him.
  17. I almost concede, but I will never give up Iskcon!
  18. this is a tripurari website or a sridhara swami one isn't it? Prabhupada never said to take siksa from sridhara swami, and he didn't either. He said to take material instructions from him and he may have taken sannyasa from him as a formality. He wanted the devotees to serve together in iskcon, not inside and outside all around the town. show me where prabhupada said join sridhara swami and leave iskcon...?
  19. nice to see your realisations about Srila Prabhupada. I agree he must be a gopi. One time the devotees asked Srila Prabhupada what his constitutional position is in the spiritual world. Srila Prabhupada replied,'you wouldn't believe me if i told you.". At least i heard that story ... another story is that he told one of the original 11 gurus who he was in Vrndavana, and he was a gopi? I forgot that story. Does anybody know?
  20. Tripurari left Iskcon to take sannyasa from the gaudiyas then left them. I cannot read his articles. If he wants to serve Prabhupada and come back and cooperate with iskcon it would be nice in my opinion.
  21. Or was Krishna in the mood of Radharani just happy to be experiencing this ecstacy? He was rolling around on the ground in ecstacy! His mission was not to tell us which religions still might have something left in them that's good.
