    The Indian Subcontinent rosary or set of mantra counting has 108 beads. 108 has been a sacred number in the Indian Subcontinent for a very long time. This number is explained in many different ways.

    The ancient Indians were excellent mathematicians and 108 may be the product of a precise mathematical operation (e.g. 1 power 1 x 2 power 2 x 3 power 3 = 108) which was thought to have special numerological significance.

    Powers of 1, 2, and 3 in math: 1 to 1st power=1; 2 to 2nd power=4 (2x2); 3 to 3rd power=27 (3x3x3). 1x4x27=108

    Sanskrit alphabet: There are 54 letters in the Sanskrit alphabet. Each has masculine and feminine, shiva and shakti. 54 times 2 is 108. Sri Yantra: On the Sri Yantra there are marmas where three lines intersect, and there are 54 such intersections. Each intersections has masculine and feminine, shiva and shakti qualities. 54 x 2 equals 108. Thus, there are 108 points that define the Sri Yantra as well as the human body.

    Ganesha Siddhi Mantras:

    Those so mystically inclined and knowledgeable of the seven chakras below the muladhara use these powerful incantantions under the direction of the guru to close off these regions of the mind one by one and free consciousness from deep depression, confusion, jealousy, rage, lingering anger and fear. Some such mantras are given below for the spiritual benefit of the readers.

     

    1. Aum Shri Ganeshaya Namah

    meaning "Praise to Lord Ganesha." This is the mantra of invocation, adoration and worship. It is repeated at the beginning of pujas and it can be used for japa, to invoke Ganesha's blessings for the auspicious beginning of a task, project, change of life, community undertaking or simply to offer Him our praise. This mantra is usually taught to children for their good education. It

    increases their memory power, and they become successful in their examinations. Of course, people of any age may use this mantra when taking courses in a school or university, and for success in attaining their degree.

     

    2. Aum Gam Ganapataye Namah

    This is Lord Ganesha's mula ("root") mantra. It is also known as His bija mantra, for it combines Ganesha's bija ("seed") sound, "gam," with the phrase, "Praise be to Ganapati." This mantra is used for yoga sadhana in which we invoke Ganesha and merge ourself with His supreme knowledge and

    peace. These two mantras are not harmful if mispronounced, as sometimes happens, though they

    should be sounded as properly as possible to be most effective. Most importantly, they must be chanted at the same time each day, and this means exactly the same time, for full devonic support. This is a mantra from Ganapati Upanishad. One may always use it before beginning a journey, new career or job, or before entering into any new contract or business so that impediments are removed and your endeavor may be crowned with success.

    Breaking coconut in temple, some people have sentiment that if coconut break exactly in two parts(total area of two parts are same) then god karuna/blessing are more. if not it is ill effect. Is it right?

    now i am doing mphil/phd course

    i joined as a lecturer for degree in 7-7-2000 left 10-01-2007

    and i joined as a lecturer for in 11-01-2007 (for better salary) to till

     

    my father admitted in hospital in feb or march (i foregot) in 2007

    Now i am living away from my parents (alone) from 11-01-2007.

    after joining (i joined as a lecturer for in 11-01-2007 (for better salary) to till) i am not doing my daily rituals (sandhyavandhna and japam ) while i sit for ritual some creating distrubance and creating nonsence, Why it happens.

    Hello Everyone,

     

     

    I am new to this forum. I use to read alot of articles on this forum and liked each and every article here. And to be honest I just want to join

     

    Let me introduce myself I live in Delhi and working in an It firm as a System Admin. I did all my studies abroad and came here in India for some family reasons.

     

    As I said I use to read lot of interesting threads here so my curiosity and passion to learn astrology made me sign this forum. I don't know who are the respected Gurus here so I request all the senior members and Gurus "accept my heartiest regards".

     

    To begin with, I would love to know about my future aspects in terms of

     

     

     

    • Would I be able to learn astrology?
    • Would I be able to follow Spiritualism

    I read a lot of books and articles on astrology and I was looking at my own horescope even though I know its not a good practise to look your own horoscope but this is what the bes I can get for research.

     

    I found many answers but few I am not able to judge and have questions are:

     

     

     

    • As I have a Jupiter in my lagna of number 2 Rashi should I wear Pukhraj.
    • Which Planet is making me go to litigation with my Parental Aunts and what will be the result. As many books and articles says Rahu in house 6th destroys enemy and Sun in 4th of its own rashi gives Property. And some books say other way round.

     

    I am sorry to write so much but this can easily tell how curious I am to do research and want to learn more. Its not for money but its all about hunger to know our own Culture.

    mathematician is flying non-stop from Edmonton to Frankfurt with AirTransat. The scheduled flying time is nine hours.

    Some time after taking off, the pilot announces that one engine had to be turned off due to mechanical failure: "Don't worry - we're safe. The only noticeable effect this will have for us is that our total flying time will be ten hours instead of nine."

    Vanchana Chora Bhithi Yoga The Lagna lord is with Rahu, Saturn or Ketu (Sarvartha Chintamani 2/76).. Result : The person will be constantly suspicious of people around him, afraid of being taken advantage of, swindled or stolen from.

    Nala Yoga If Lagna is in a Dvishvabhava sign and several planets also in Dvishvabhava signs then the effects of Nala yoga can be felt. Result : One born in this Yoga is defective of a limb, resolute, very clever, of fluctuating wealth, good to look at, and fond of his near and dear ones. And there is a tendency to lose opportunities, leading to disappointment and dejection (unless other indications strongly display otherwise).
