I am from the Swaminarayan Sect. Quite new to site. Quite a few of our scriptures such as vachnamrut are written with "Samvat Dates". e.g Samvat 1877 Kartik Sud Pancham. So what would be the steps for one to convert samvat dates to something like 18th Feb 1814 or something like that. I am quite famaliar with gorgeian dates as every one uses them. e.g the leap years, the different days in months e.t.c I am a computer science student and would like to make a program which would do conversion of dates. i.e what are the dates of ekadaashi's in the year 2015 e.t.c a concise explanation would be very much appreciated.
