Dear ALL, For a while I have watched my life through the transits and now I am wondering how Jyotishis read the relative effects of the karakas. In my chart the natural karaka for mind and emotions, Moon, is in my 4th house. Home is a great security fo me in mind and emotion and is my favourite place always and so as natural karaka for mind this fits me perfectly. Yet Surya is my amatyakaraka for mind, and this is in 12th in my chart. How does the Jyotishi weigh up which planet signifies the Mind, Soul, Mother, etc. Is one always more significant than the other? The natural karaka... is this most important or the Natal karaka for each planet. I dont have study strength to learn much deeper Jyotish, but this interests me. And yet I wonder if the answer is that it depends on the strength and aspects to the Lord of one or the other? I won't delve too deep into the answer to this but it will clear up a quandry for me. I hope, if this thread brings some answers that this is interesting also to others who have stronger study ability also. Best Regards si-mon

Namaskar Webyogi Ji, Thank you very much for this information! I have much to learn yet. Please can you advize on your opinion on the relationship as seen with the two charts? I don't know much about chart matching at all other than looking to see where planets of one chart 'drop' into the chart of the other, and so I was looking at Moon and Sun but unable, even in this to make firm sense. I am not destined to be a Jyotishi I think, despite my Mercurial interests. Could these two (myself and this lady) have a lasting relationship? Also if you have the time, please can you comment on the effect of badhaka in my life through my chart? I have a strong sense of it in ways in my life but the chart always fascinates and I can learn more Jyotish this way, Yours, Si-mon
