if you want your husband to be a vegetarian, then you need to marry a vegetarian, because after the marriage changing a person's life long habits such as meat eating is quite hard. I think you should not try to convert him if he does not want to, that can just be a mess. The best thing to do is look for a husband who is also a Krishna Conscious individual, if not, then you have to just compromise with your husband in the future.

As illustrated in the above-mentioned verse of Sri Yamunacarya, a sincere devotee of the Lord shuns all material sense enjoyment due to his higher taste for spiritual enjoyment in the association of the Lord. That is the secret of success. In buddhist meditations , such as metta meditations, you try to observe the mind like it is a movie or something. Try it, just observe the thoughts that run through your mind when you see a beautiful figure, but do not provoke them and do not be a part of them... stand aside in yourself and also do not act toward such thoughts. This way, you will see that what you are fighting is a natural occurence. When you recognize it as a natural occurence, you will certainly not fight it then continue with krishna- then he will surely decrease your attraction to this material world and increase the dormant attraction that you have for him (gradually). To fight the maya is not with in your control, you can't help it, but to act in maya or to not act in maya is with in your control. So, leave the fighting to krishna and act for krishna, not for maya. In other words, what I am trying to say is do not act in those thoughts, just let them pass... do not provoke them or subdue them by force.

It can work the both ways. The devotees who were seen on the other thread may have been many people who were using the same computer. Now, this all seems to be just mental speculation. I think i am better off just thinking about higher things... bye

All I can do is chant hare krishna and be happy /images/graemlins/smile.gif However, I do want to know how Admin5 has known that they are two different people. If it is by the address provided by the internet service, then it can be changed. So, it does not really prove that the people seen on this forum are indeed different from each other.

Thats all we can do, but the ISKCON authority should do something about this. Even though he is spreading hare krishna, he is still making himself guru, if he wanted to be in Hare krishna so much, then why can't he just be a devotee and be a humble servant of a guru?

When every one knows that he is a fraud guru. Then, why doesn't any one do anything? Our job as the devotees of krishna is to help people from getting into various traps set by false gurus, then isn't it our duty and dharma to do something about this? BTW, the best part of that website is the art gallery when you click on it and highlight the "paintings" repeatedly then you can see how many costumes he uses to pose himself as 'Guru' and 'Devotee', but for an unintelligent seeker it is a perfect trap. Only one of those people is a real painter... he worked on the Golden temple. He was on the Golden temple catalog /images/graemlins/smile.gif I guess he scanned it and placed it in his website.

Because in Vedic culture husband and wife are not considered as two entites even though they are. They are considered as a team and one team member's decision affects the other's. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif That is why he has to approve of her being guru... but I think this goes only one way which shows a bit of instability and tyranny in the system. Please help me in this matter by your theropy " There is nothing to fight, when you are talking about fighting, you are clearly talking about your desire to smoke. What you need to do, is recognize that the desire to smoke is not pertaining to you, but to your body. So, when you get the desire to smoke, stand aside and just immobilize yourself until the desire to smoke is gone. I never smoked, but I did this various other desires which were haunting me in my life and I can assure you it works. When you recognize that what you are is a spirit soul and your real job is to serve Krishna- or the supersoul , then the desire to smoke automatically goes away. The best way to do it is get your self naturally into that serving bava at the time of that desire and increase it to over come the desire to smoke. The way to increase it is this mantra. Chanting mantras help... whether it be "Rama" or Krishna..or YAYAYA, it doesnot matter, just get acquainted with a mantra you like and chant it seriously in your mind when you have the desire to smoke and just don't give in. Then, your desire will completely die in a week or two
