ANGIRA married SRADDHA DEVI d/o KARDAMA and DEVAHOOTHI.

AADI PARAA SAKTHI manifested to ANGIRA as PRATHYANGIRA DEVI.

ANGIRA and SRADDHA have Three Sons all Three Gothra Karthas in their own Right -- UTHADDHYA , BRIHASPATHI ( GURU or JUPITER), SAMVARTHANA. ANGIRA's Grand Son is BHARADWAAJA RISHI. When once AGNI DEV went on strike , ANGIRA took over the duties of AGNI DEV and since then ANGIRA RISHI is also known as AGNIVASYA. Notable RISHIS that belong to ANGIRA GOTHRA include GAUTHAMA, AATHMABHUVA , AUSANA , PURUKUTSA and VAAMADEVA. RISHI GOTHRA PRAVARA I can be any one of Two types:-

1. VAMSA PRAVARA down the progeny of RISHI or

2. SISHYA PRAVARA amongst RISHI's Students.

They saw, they heard, they remembered and propagated what they saw, heard and remembered about God and Vedic Knowledge to Their Sishya Paramparas and ordained their Sishyas to narrate to others.

Rishis performed Yajnams , Nithya Agnihothram , chanted Holy Manthras , indulged in Meditation , Thapas and Penance for our sake. They were protected by Kings.

Some of our Vedic Rishis were bachelors, some were family men , some were PrajaaPathis, some of them attained the status of Saptha Rishis and quite a few of them were direct descendents of Pithaamaha Lord Brahma , who Himself was the Greatest Rishi of all . Rishis are Munis, Maunis, Maharishis, Brahma Rishis and Deva Rishis. Munis spoke little and heard or saw most. Maunis spent their time in silence.

Viswaamithra is a Maharishi, Vasishtta is a Brahma Rishi and Naarada is a Deva Rishi. Some Rishis stayed at home and some spent time going round the world. Let us remember we are all the descendents of Vedic Rishis ; we carry their DNA. there is a Rishi in every one of us. From a humble Human to Lord Brahma we are all Rishis, but there is a gradation.

1.Thaamasa stage : we do not know and yet we do not know that we do not know; we are under the spell of Maaya. We have to awaken the dormant kundalini.

2.Stage of Ignorance : we do not know , but we know that we do not know and are prepared to learn .

3.Half awakened stage : we know , but we do not know that we know; we need self motivation and need to be reminded by others that we can do it, Like Lord Raama who does not know that He is God and needs a Hanuma, a LakshmaNa to remind Him that He is God.

4.Saathvik Stage : we know and know that we know but are humbled by what little we know and confess that we are still learning and we are life long students.

5.Stage of arrogance : we know , know that we know and go about boasting that we know every thing when still there is an ocean of knowledge in front and we are only picking pebbles on the sea shore.

6.Stage of Supreme Confidence : Stage of Lord Krishna , He is God and Knows He is God and yet behaves like a Human , a Friend , Philosopher , Guide and a Relative.

7.Stage of Oneness With Supreme Paraa Brahman. That leads us to our Modern Rishis about whom we all know and share with others next time

OUR VEDIC RISHIS - Prologue

Our Vedic Rishis are Real People. They are not Mythological Figures. Their Stories are not Myths. Our Vedic Rishis are Preceptors of our Eternal Sanaathana Dharma. They are Seers , Sages , Savants , Mahathmas.

Our Vedic Rishis walked this Earth long ago and some of them are still amongst us.

Whatever our Vedic Rishis did , whether in kindness or in anger , was and still is for the benefit of Humanity. They had access to Brahma, Vishnu, Maheswara, Three Mothers and all Gods. They could take liberty with Supreme ParaaBrahman for the benefit of all of us. Our Rishis spent a Spartan life, dwelt in Ashrams, ParnNasaalas away from cities in forests, on the banks of Holy Rivers and in Himaalayas. They spent their time and energy in trying to understand God and sharing their knowledge with the rest of Humanity-Adhyanam , Adhyaapanam

Visravasu was married twice and begot one son Kubera by first wife - and begot three sons by his second wife - RAAVANA BRAHMA , KumbhakarNa and Vibheeshana . Pulasthya settled down in Himalayas.

PULAHA MUNI married Gathi , d/o Kardama - Devahoothi , had three sons - Karmasreshtta , Vareeyaamsu , Sahishnu. Pulaha built an Aashram in Haridwar

(Haradwar ) in Uttharakhand.

ATTHARVA MAHAA RISHI Heard ( Sruthi ) and Remembered ( Smruthi ) long ago ATTHARVA VEDA and hence the name . This was recorded by VRIDDHA GAARGYA MAHAA MUNI, the Senior and passed on by word of mouth to his Sishyas 5,250 years ago .

Incidentally about 5,120 years ago Senior Garga's descendant, GARGA,

the Junior presided over the NAAMA KARANA MAHOTSAVAM ( Naming Ceremony ) of THE DIVINE BROTHERS , BALARAAMA and KRISHNA VAASUDEV at VREPALLE.

He is a Raja Guru, a prime Minister, an adviser, a counselor to the ISHVAAKU Rulers.

VASISHTTA married OORJA, d/o KARDAMA - DEVAHOOTHI. VASISHTTA is the Kula Guru to Nimi Chakravarthi. One day, both NIMI and VASISHTTA got upset with each other and each had to be reborn. Along with VASISHHTTA, OORJA also discarded her body. VASISHTTA was reborn to MITHRA-VARUN with VAAYU Amsa as a KUMBHA SAMBHAVA - an incubator baby. OORJA was born in a schedule caste family as ARUNDHATHI. ARUNDHATHI is the only star who shines along with VASISHTTA in The SAPTHARSHI MANDALA. VASISHTTA and ARUNDHATHI are an ideal couple, immortal and inseparable; hence every newly married couple must look at The Divine Rishi Pair - VASISHTTA and ARUNDHATHI on their marriage day for enjoying eternal MARRITAL BLISS.

VASISHTTA and ARUNDHATHI had several Sons , most famous among them being SHAKTHI , Father of PARAASARA MAHARSHI, who in turn is the Father of VEDA VYAAS who in turn is the Father of SUKA MAHARSHI - what a Progeny! - BRAHMA - VASISHTTA - SHAKTHI - PARAASARA - VEDA VYAAS-and SUKA.

VASISHTTA is an embodiment of Peace, Tranquility, Ahimsa, the Greatest Brahma Rishi, a Gothra Kartha and a MaithraaVaruNa.

Sacred Events Of Vasantha Ruthu - I

Mind boggling billions of years back , Lord Shiva and Devi Paarvathi were

married in Himalayas. Lord Brahma was the Chief priest. Mahaa Vishnu

played the role of Brother-in-Law and requested Shiva to accept PaarvathI.

Paarvathi's parents Himavaan and Menaka gave away the Bride . Thirty

million Celestials were the Guests of Honor.

Shiva took His young Bride Paarvathi on Sacred Bull , Nandi to His Abode

Kailaash accompanied by Srungi , Bhrungi , Veerabhadra , Parvath , etc.

After reaching kailaash , Shiva went into Thapas and Devi Paarvathi was

attending on Him waiting for Shiva to open His Eyes and look at Her.

Manmattha accomapnied by His consort Rathi Devi , and friends Vasanth,

Madhu and Maadhavi, at the behest of the Celestials, approached Shiva

with all due Respect and Reverence and beseeched Shiva in a tempting

way to open His Eyes and look at Paarvathi .

Shiva opened not His Soorya Sashaanka Eyes but His Third Vahni Eye

and Manmattha was turned into ashes - RUTHU SAMHAARAM .

Shiva felt sorry for what happened and ordained that Manmattha shall live for

ever , not in a physical form, but as a thought , an idea , an emotion , love and

affection in the minds and hearts of all humans . Manmattha will be seen in a

physical form only by Rathi devi and will be born as Pradyumna to SriKrishna

and RukmiNi Devi in 28 th Dwaapara Yugam - PRADYUMNAM .

In course of Time Shiva and Paarvathi became Proud parents of Kumaara

Swami SubrahmaNya Shanmukha - KUMAARA SAMBHAVAM .

When , in The Beginning , The Earth was completley submerged in

Primordial Waters , Mahaa Vishnu appeared as an Angushtta Pramaan

( size of a thumb ) Wild Boar with Tusks , SRI YAJNA VARAAHA

AVATHAAR from the tip of Meditating Brahma's Nose Yajna Varaaha

grw to an enormous proportion and brought forth Mother Earth for

Swaayambhoo Manu to rule over and for the benefit of all .

But, HiraNyaaksha , the younger son of Kashyapa Brahma and Dithi ,

confiscated the entire Earth , for his own and for his people's use only .

Bhoo Maatha cried out to Brahma for help and Brahma in turn asked

SRI YAJNA VARAAHA for help .

Sri Yajna Varaaha Swaamy killed HiraNyaaksha and restored Earth

back to all Humans and others to dwell on.

Later Sri Yajna Varaaha Bhagawaan Retired To Thirumala Hills and

Assumed the Role of Kshethra Paala ( Safe Keeper Of The Sacred Hills.)

Yajna Varaaha Saves All From Any Calamity On Earth -
