  1. no, that was probably Bhakti Sudar Govinda Swami Maharaj. Srila Gour Govinda Swami Gurudev is a beloved disciple of Srila A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and served on the GBC till he left this mortal world in Mayapur Dham on the Holy Appearane Day of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami Prabhupada in 1996.
  2. Part Two of Two Before ending this letter, let's fall back on my all-compassionate Gurudeva's mercy to help reduce Yamaraj's burden of having to deal with too many offenders of Mahaprabhu. Gurudeva frequently spoke candidly about the importance of not disturbing Mahaprabhu's Radha-bhava mood. In this regard one particular song stands out in support of his sastra-pramana: In Sri Rupa Gosvami's Lalita-madhava, 3.25, Radhika cries this song in bitter separation from Krsna. Also in Caitanya-caritamrta, Antya 19.35, Mahaprabhu cries the same song in painful separation from Krsna. Let's all try to imbibe the mood in which Srila Gurudeva would sing, then explain this sloka, with its special significance:<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> kva nanda-kula-candramah kva sikhi-candra-kalankrtih<o:p></o:p> kva mandra-murali-ravah kva nu surendra-nila-dyutih<o:p></o:p> kva rasa-rasa-tandavi kva sakhi jiva-raksausadhir<o:p></o:p> nidhir mama suhrttamah kva bata hanta ha dhig-vidhim<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> “Where is the moon of the Nanda dynasty?<o:p></o:p> Where is that Krsna on whose crest is a peacock feather? <o:p></o:p> Where is that Krsna who plays the flute so sweetly?<o:p></o:p> Where is Krsna whose bodily lustre is like the blue indranila jewel?<o:p></o:p> Where is that Krsna who dances in rasa?<o:p></o:p> Where is that Krsna who is the soothing balm for My afflicted heart?<o:p></o:p> Where is Krsna? Where can I find that treasure of My life, best of My friends?<o:p></o:p> Feeling separation from Him, alas! I condemn <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:city w:st="on">Providence</st1:city></st1:place>, the shaper of My destiny.”<o:p></o:p> Mahaprabhu, when crying this emotional song in bitter-sweet pangs of separation from Krsna, is experiencing the same vipralambha mood as Radha when She sings it. Mahaprabhu advented precisely to savour this mood which Krsna could not. But we think we know better!! We foolishly ruin that mood by decorating Him with a peacock feather. Then why not the flute also? or paint Him with Krsna's blue bodily hue? and why not arrange a bevy of parakiya damsels for Him to 'ENJOY' the rasa-dance? And when He is tearfully searching for the moon of the Nanda dynasty, Krsna, why are we adamantly telling Him, “Here, wear this peacock feather coz we know You are Krsna!”?<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> If the foregoing is still unconvincing to the die-hard spoilsports, let's see if it's too far-fetched to consider that their attitude reeks of impersonalism. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> This 16th Century Bhakti Poem by TUKARAM squarely debunks impersonalism:<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Can water quaff itself?<o:p></o:p> Can trees taste of the fruits they bear?<o:p></o:p> He who worships God must stand distinct from Him.<o:p></o:p> So only shall he know the joyful love of God,<o:p></o:p> For if he say that God and he are one,<o:p></o:p> That joy, that love, shall vanish instantly away.<o:p></o:p> Pray no more for utter oneness with God:<o:p></o:p> Where were the beauty if jewel and setting were one?<o:p></o:p> The heat and the shade are two;<o:p></o:p> If not, where were the comfort of shade?<o:p></o:p> Mother and child are two;<o:p></o:p> If not, where were the love?<o:p></o:p> When after being sundered, they meet,<o:p></o:p> What joy do they feel, the mother and child!<o:p></o:p> Where were the joy, if the two were one?<o:p></o:p> Pray, then, no more for utter oneness with God.<o:p></o:p> My inescapable conclusion:<o:p></o:p> I'm truly sorry, and I really hope I'm wrong, to say that almost every line by Tukaram seems to describe as impersonalistic the attitude of those ISKCONites in general who simply do not want to separate Krsna from Mahaprabhu even though Mahaprabhu, in Radha's mood and complexion, wants very intensely to be separate from Krsna in order to worship Krsna, not to be Krsna.<o:p></o:p> Elsewhere, Tukaram (?) also says (to emphasize God's otherness, not His oneness) as follows: “I want to TASTE sugar. I don't want to BE sugar.”<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> That, surely, must be the most convincing TRUTH...SATYAM! But, as is the sad nature of Kaliyug, SATYAM is seen as ASATYAM, and ASATYAM as SATYAM. Defenders of ASATYAM will still go to any length to disregard the sanctity and privacy of Mahaprabhu's Channa-Avatar moods. It has been adequately proven that the conclusion is the same for both the bahiranga and the antaranga karanams, namely, that affixing peacock feathers on Mahaprabhu will not help nourish, but terribly disturb His esotericmoods. Yet there will be those who will remorselessly quote 'proofs' such as Mahaprabhu's mahaprakas lilas in which He reveals his identity as Krsna, simply to justify their whims, but conveniently forgetting that only His most confidential associates were allowed to witness such revelations. We in our Kali-contaminated mood cannot, by any stretch of our imagination, claim to belong to that exclusive confidential group. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> As mentioned before, i'm confident that time will put matters right. A small revolution will take place: Instead of fixing peacock feathers on Mahaprabhu, we'll gladly supply Him peacock feathers so that He may happily decorate Krsna with them, IF He finds Him. JAI!!! <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> I sincerely hope and pray that i have more or less correctly understood the three acaryas i named above and presented their case to their satisfaction and leave the result of my meek effort in their hands and in the hands of Mahaprabhu and Krsna. I also beg all of them and the readers of this letter to forgive me for any offenses committed by me knowingly and unknowingly.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Thank you very much.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Yours in the humble service of Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga<o:p></o:p> ami ati-dina-hina-jana, <o:p></o:p> gourgovindsevak satyasenan<o:p></o:p> 11th March 2009,Gaura-purnima Mahotsava<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> BHAKTARUPA MAHAPRABHU KI JAI!! CHANNA-AVATAR MAHAPRABHU KI JAI!!<o:p></o:p> SRI CAITANYA MAHAPRABHU'S GAURA PURNIMA MAHA MAHOTSAVA KI JAI!!<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> PS: I've no desire to disturb the general mood of my fellow ISKCONites more than i've already done above. But there's more to be said about the peacock feather that may shock many. After much serious thought, i'm impelled to share the facts with all of you NOW, while we are still on the subject, rather than LATER. Perhaps more good may result, hopeully...<o:p></o:p> My Guru Mahasaya said thatthe beautiful cowherd boy Vrajavasi-Krsna is the only one adorned with the peacock feather. He is decorated thus by the Vrajavasi-Gopis. No other form of Krsna outside Vrajabhumi wears it ... not Mathuravasi-Krsna or Dvarakavasi-Krsna, and certainly not Parthasarathi Krsna in the battle-field of Kuruksetra! Outside of Vrajadham there are no Gopis and there's no rasa-lila. So who's there outside Vrajadham who's crazy enough to adorn Him with peacock feathers? Is our 'bhakti' over-done?<o:p></o:p> What to speak of Krsna outside Vrajabhumi made to wear the misplaced feather by our ISKCON family!! They even go to the extent of adorning Krsna's Dasa-avataras with it! The Ramayana tells us that, before Lord Ramacandra's time, there were only pure white peacocks, with no 'eyes' in their feathers. To evade Ravana's hunger for the flesh of devatas, Indradev took refuge in the form of a peacock when Ravana was on a rampage. After the asura left, Indra, out of gratitude, gave the peacocks the boon to have their feathers adorned with 'eyes' (that also adorned Indra himself). So where did Matsya-avatar, Narasimhadev, etc, get such multi-coloured peacock feathers from (as depicted in ISKCON pictures)? Were there Gopis around during those past yugas? <o:p></o:p>
  3. Part One of Two LET'S NOURISH MAHAPRABHU'S CHANNA-AVATAR (HIDDEN) FORM<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> jaya jaya gaura-candra channa-avatara<o:p></o:p> jaya jaya mahaprabhu jaya bhakta-rupa<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Hare Krsna!<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Dear prabhujis and matajis<o:p></o:p> Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga. <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> GAURA-PURNIMA MAHA MAHOTSAVA KI JAI !!!<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Craving the divine guidance and permission of my dearest Gurudeva for composing this sensitive letter, i beg his as well as all the readers' forgiveness for any mistakes and offenses i, as a nitya-baddha, am bound to commit. In this letter i, Satya-senan, though least qualified to dwell on such an esoteric topic, humbly begs to share some extremely important points with all. They concern our understanding (or misunderstanding?) of how to correctly serve the CHANNA-AVATAR-CUM-BHAKTA-RUPA FORM of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, our Yuga-avatar, the savior-extra-ordinaire of even the worst fallen naradhamas like me.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> In furtherance of the stated wishes and instructions of our previous acaryas, in particular our most recent and dearest Sripad Bhakti-siddhanta Sarasvati Thakur Prabhupad, HDG Srila AC Baktivedanta Svami Prabhupad and my revered spiritual master HDG Srila Gour Govinda Svami Mahasaya, we shall first study the external and the internal (confidential) reasons for Sriman Mahaprabhu's very rare advent in this special Kaliyuga, keenly and cautiously aware that He appears only once in many Kaliyugas.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Generally, Krsna comes in a blackish form, rarely golden. This is a very rare, secret, esoteric incarnation which occurs only in the 28th 'Divya-yuga' of the 7th Manvantara, or once in 8.64 billion years!! This is CHANNA-AVATAR, or SPECIAL, HIDDEN INCARNATION. This is the molten-gold-hued Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the most munificent, most magnanimous, most mysterious, and most merciful form Who came to freely distribute Krsna-prema without discrimination. Eternally indebted to such a causelessly merciful avatar, it behooves us to at least honour and nourish His CHANNA form without disturbing His mood. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> What is the value of such a special incarnation if we insist on exposing His HIDDEN form to nourish our own sentiments? If we do not please Mahaprabhu now, in this special Kaliyuga, by a conscious, humble effort to honour HIS bhakta-mood and HIS Radha-bhava mood, bothas the ENJOYEDservitors of Krsna, rather than imposing OUR own sentimental whim of exposing Him as Krsna, the ENJOYER, without considering HIS own desire to remain deeply absorbed in HIS bhakta and vipralambha moods, we would have wasted an almost irretrievable opportunity to benefit from His special mercy not available in so many other Kaliyugas to come.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> With these points in mind let's see the causes for Caitanya Mahaprabhu's advent:<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> EXTERNAL---BAHIRANGA KARANAM<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> Mahaprabhu Himself says --- in Caitanya-caritamrta [Adi. 3. 20 & 21]:<o:p></o:p> 20<o:p></o:p> apani karimu bhakta-bhava angikare<o:p></o:p> apani acari bhakti sikhaimu sabare<o:p></o:p> “I shall accept the role of a devotee, and<o:p></o:p> I shall teach devotional service by practising it Myself.”<o:p></o:p> So, whatever HE accepts, we have no adhikar or right to deny, and <o:p></o:p> since HE Himself wants to be a practising devotee, we have only to please Him by helping Him to NOURISH that desire rather than impeding it by imposing our misplaced sentiments upon Him, treating Him as Krsna, the ENJOYER, and planting peacock feathers on Him that serve only to disturb His bhakta-bhava mood.<o:p></o:p> As a BHAKTA, He naturally prefers to be ENJOYED by Krsna; not to BE Krsna!<o:p></o:p> 21<o:p></o:p> apane na kaile dharma sikhana na yaya<o:p></o:p> ei ta siddhanta gita-bhagavata gaya<o:p></o:p> “Unless one practises devotional service oneself, one cannot teach it to others.<o:p></o:p> This conclusion is indeed confirmed throughout the Gita and the Bhagavatam.”<o:p></o:p> Krsna did teach devotional service, but without significant success because, not having to practise it Himself, He did not teach it by example. That's why Mahaprabhu came --- to set an example by practising it Himself in His BHAKTARUPA form, thereby adding immense potency to His preaching. So we should be simple in our duty-bound nature to help NOURISH that Bhaktarupa form instead of disturbing Him with Krsna's ornaments thrust upon Him just to gratify our own misplaced idea of 'bhakti.'<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Mahaprabhu personified His mood even more humbly with His self-proclaimed status as <o:p></o:p> “the servant of the servant of the servant of the husband of the gopis”!<o:p></o:p> Proclaiming Himself the meek servant, thrice removed, of Krsna (the husband of the gopis), He'd certainly be most upset and annoyed with anyone thoughtlessly trying to turn Him into the very person He wants so much (not to be but) to worship.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> INTERNAL / CONFIDENTIAL----ANTARANGA KARANAM<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The foregoing External reasons for Mahaprabhu's advent are generally for the sake of teaching devotional service to the people of Kaliyuga by His own example. However, the following Internal or antaranga (confidential) karanamcomprising Krsna's intense desire to fulfill His own three greeds developed in connection with the sweetest and most bewildering loving pastimes with His hladini-sakti expansion, Srimati Radharani, is exclusively for Himself. The only way He could fulfill the greeds was to accept both Her mood and complexion, as revealed by Sripad Svarupa Damodara Gosvami in CcAdi.1.6:<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> sri radhayah pranaya-mahima kidrso vanayaiva<o:p></o:p> svadyo yenadbhuta-madhurima kidrso va madiyah<o:p></o:p> saukhyam casya mad-anubhavatah kidrsam veti lobhat<o:p></o:p> tad-bhavadyah samajani saci- garbha-sindhau harinduh <o:p></o:p> “Desiring to understand<o:p></o:p> i) the glory of Radharani's love,<o:p></o:p> ii) the wonderful qualities in Him that She alone relishes through Her love, and<o:p></o:p> iii) the happiness She feels when She realizes the sweetness of His love,<o:p></o:p> the Supreme Lord Hari, richly endowed with Her emotions,<o:p></o:p> appears from the womb of Srimati Sacidevi, as the moon appears from the ocean.”<o:p></o:p> Richly endowed with Radharani's emotions ... that's Mahaprabhu's saturated and overflowing mood, crying, crying, crying for Krsna in deep separation. Ours is not to sentimentally interfere with those super-ecstatic emotions by turning Him into the very Krsna-form and Krsna-mood He had deliberately shed. Why are we reinstating what He had shed, like His peacock feather? What about His flute or His cowherd stick?Leave Him be. Let Him relish the sweet-bitter mellows of His Radha-bhava vipralambha mood. That was the desire He, as the bewildered Krsna, had long cherished to taste Himself ... NOT for us to blindly disturb Him now when, as the crying Gauranga, He is at last able to taste that unique mood of Radharani. Such are the worried concerns of, and consequential cautions and instructions given by, previous acaryas on this touchy subject:<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> EXCERPT FROM SRILA BHAKTISIDDHANTA SARASVATI THAKURA'S PURPORT IN CBAdi 2.27:<o:p></o:p> “ ... the five types of Krsna devotees neither consider the incarnation of vipralambha, Sri Gaurasundara, as the object of madhura-rasa, nor did they assist Him in conjugal affairs in the course of His magnanimous pastimes; rather, they nourished His feelings of separation from Krsna by helping Him cultivate those mellows. Those who want to contradict the Gaura pastimes of the Supreme Shelter Krsna, by putting a flute or a cowherd stick in Gaurasundara's hands, (not to mention a peacock feather on His head!), imposing the mood of a paramour on Him, or considering Him the charioteer of Arjuna, can never be counted amongst Gaura's associates or servants.”<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> EXCERPTS FROM ISKCON-FOUNDER ACARYA SRILA PRABHUPADA'S PURPORT TO CCAdi 4.41:<o:p></o:p> “Svarupa Damodara Gosvami has described Lord Caitanya as Krsna Himself with the attitude of Radharani, or a combination of Radha and Krsna. The intention of Lord Caitanya is to taste Krsna's sweetness in transcendental love. He does not care to think of Himself as Krsna, because He wants the position of Radharani. We should remember this. A class of so-called devotees called the nadiya-nagaris or gaura-nagaris pretend that they have the sentiment of gopis toward Lord Caitanya, but they do not realize that He placed Himself not as the enjoyer, Krsna, but as the enjoyed, the devotee of Krsna. The concoctions of unauthorized persons pretending to be bona fide have not been accepted by Lord Caitanya. Presentations such as those of the gaura-nagaris are only disturbances to the sincere execution of the mission of Lord Caitanya. Lord Caitanya is undoubtedly Krsna Himself, and He is always non-different from Srimati Radharani. But the emotion technically called vipralambha-bhava, which the Lord adopted for confidential reasons, should not be disturbed in the name of service. A mundaner should not unnecessarily intrude into affairs of transcendence and thereby displease the Lord. One must always be on guard against this sort of devotional anomaly. A devotee is not meant to create disturbances to Krsna. As Srila Rupa Gosvami has explained, devotional service is anukulyena, or favorable to Krsna. Acting unfavorably toward Krsna is not devotion...... <o:p></o:p> “Lord Caitanya has accepted the role of Radharani, and we should support <nourish> that position, as Svarupa Damodara did in the Gambhira (the room where Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu stayed in Puri). He always reminded Lord Caitanya of Radha's feelings of separation as they are described in Srimad-Bhagavatam, and Lord Caitanya appreciated his assistance. But the gaura-nagaris, who place Lord Caitanya in the position of enjoyer and themselves as His enjoyed, are not approved by Lord Caitanya or by Lord Caitanya's followers. Instead of being blessed, the foolish imitators are left completely apart. Their concoctions are against the principles of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. The doctrine of transcendental enjoyment by Krsna cannot be mixed up with the doctrine of transcendental feeling of separation from Krsna in the role of Radharani.”<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> OUR GURUDEVA HDG GOUR GOVINDA SVAMI MAHASAYA, ALWAYS MAINTAINED THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF GAURA-NITAI DEITY WORSHIP IN HIS ISKCON TEMPLES IN ORISSA, WITHOUT DISTURBING, BUT ALWAYS NOURISHING GAURANGA'S RADHA-BHAVA AND HIS BHAKTA-RUPA MOODS. Unfortunately, due to decades of unchecked, whimsically sentimental, wrong practice in almost all other ISKCON temples world-wide (of decorating Gaura-Nitai with peacock feathers), our Gurudeva's advice was never well-received in other ISKCON temples. In one case he was even banned from the temple for his advice! It didn't help even though he reminded them that his dearmost revered spiritual master HDG Srila Prabhupada was clearly against the wrong practice. What to do? KALI-YUGA! But, not to worry...such ignorant practices can never last forever...Mahaprabhu's movement is just scratching the surface of His special 10,000-year long Satya-yuga within this Kali-yuga. Before long, by Mahaprabhu's mercy and by the wishes of the previous acaryas, there will be no more peacock feathers ruining Mahaprabhu's mood!! <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> FOOD FOR THOUGHT<o:p></o:p> DON'T PREVIOUS ACARYAS HAVE ANY MORE PERSUASIVE POWERS IN OUR ISKCON? IS “SIMPLICITY IS VAISNAVISM” JUST A BLANK SLOGAN? EVERYTHING IS SO COMPLICATED!! SHOULD ALL CONTROVERSIAL, HENCE 'MAJOR' ISSUES BE UNNECESSARILY PUT TO THE MUNDANE VOTING SYSTEM PREVALENT IN OUR GBC PRACTICE? [Eg: JIVA-TATTVA?] WHAT THEN IS THE VALUE OF OF SASTRIC EVIDENCE AND PREVIOUS ACARYAS' WORDS OF WISDOM?<o:p></o:p> In answering Yamaraj, Maharaj Yudhistira says in Mahabharata, vana-parva 313.17: mahajana yena gatah sa panthah<o:p></o:p> “Consequently, as the sastras confirm, one should <o:p></o:p> accept whatever progressive path the mahajanas advocate.”<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> More often than not, alas! the devil's advocate reigns supreme. But for how long? Yamaraj's trusted record keeper Citragupta doesn't need any majority vote to have his case-histories ratified by Yamaraj ... at the 'right' time! Should we wait for that time?<o:p></o:p>
  4. (since the original formatted text would not display in the original msg - however it is in the downloadable Word File - i am attaching the original message below) --------------- ASTRONOMICAL ANUGA OF SRILA PRABHUPADA ( NONE OTHER THAN SRI SRIMAD GOUR GOVINDA SWAMI MAHASAYA ) he guro jnana-da dina bandho svananda-datah karunaika-sindho vrndavanasina hitavatara prasida radha pranaya pracara O Spiritual Master! Divine wisdom you give. O friend of the fallen, your own sweet bliss you give O unique ocean of mercy, Please be kind upon me. Though dwelling etern’lly in Holy Vrndavan You descend to care for the fallen like this one! O unique ocean of mercy, Please be kind upon me. Preaching the glories of the most Divine Couple, You extol Radha’s love for Krsna so subtle! O unique ocean of mercy, Please be kind upon me. My Dearest Pranesvara Sri Srimad Gour Govinda Swami Mahasaya Srila Gurudeva, Please accept my humble dandavat pranams at your sweet-scented lotus feet. All glories to you, my eternal spiritual master…..janme janme prabhu sei. All glories to your Pranesvara Guru-Maharaj Sri Srimad A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada WHO IS ALWAYS IN YOUR TRANSCENDENTAL VISION BOTH IN YOUR PRAKATA LILA AND NOW. All glories to Lord Nityananda Whose direct expansion you are, decorating yourself with only the unique bamboo-leaf-shaped ‘NITYANANDA-TILAK’ worn by those belonging to Sri Nityananda-parivar. 1. “FROGS CANNOT DIGEST GHEE, BABA!” Dearest Sadhu Gurudeva, just a few days ago, by providence, my Search in the internet for “Gour Govinda Swami” took me to an abominble article by ISKCONIRM. Dated 2nd March 2003, it is festering in their website: www dot iskconirm dot com/Reply_to_Gaura_Govinda_Swami dot htm It is designed primarily to insult you, thereby ignorantly insulting its writers’ own Guru Srila Prabhupada who was so very intimately proud and fond of you as his most elevated, confidential sadsisya. Entitled “SRILA PRABHUPADA IS LIVING”, and described as IRM’s “Reply” to Gour Govinda Swami, it was written by the sick ritvik group called ‘ISKCON Revival [or Reform ?] Movement’, IRM, dishing out an unsolicited foolish “REPLY” to you, venomously ridiculing your innocently spoken simple but uncommon truths far beyond their SADHU-NINDA-minded brain to grasp or digest. In your words, “FROGS CANNOT DIGEST GHEE, BABA!” Adult-bodied babes can imbibe only a bit of Apara-vicar. So how can they digest TATTVA-VICAR? Impossible! Srila Prabhupada taught them things at their kindergarten level, expecting them to grow up in time and learn higher things. But they want to remain in their toy-filled crib fantasizing in their frivolous childhood mood. Frogs in a well, too proud for submissive tattva-jijnasa, ridicule anyone glorifying the wide ocean beyond… . 2. BLASPHEMY AT ITS DASTARDLY WORST No doubt most top leaders in ISKCON are in dire need of reform over many notorious issues too numerous and painful to include in this letter to Your Divine Grace chiefly addressing IRM’s sinful maligning of your pristine name and reputation. NOTHING I have ever read in our scriptures or heard in the past can compare with such DASTARDLY BLASPHEMY AT ITS MALICIOUS WORST, not counting how the envious vociferous and the complicit silent, indifferent GBC members remain collectively and individually guilty eternally of and responsible for your premature aprakata pastime triggered by their WANTON PREACHING OF TOTAL MISCONCEPTIONS on ‘JIVA TATTVA’ in particular, while indulging in shameless practices and cover-ups in general! It was of them that you first said for their benefit, “FROGS CANNOT DIGEST GHEE, BABA!” … now equally applicable to the IRM naradhamas. 3. ‘SEE’ WITH THE EARS, THEN WITH PURIFIED EYES Such are the self-centred self-styled “preachers” whom you, out of compassion, not anger, were so desirous to preach to, to reform them. As a bona fide acarya, that desire is gradually fructifying through your potent vani that teaches the fully faithful few how to ‘SEE’ with their EARS. Then when at last their faith blossoms, they advance slowly from ‘seeing’ with their ears to actually seeing with their present PURIFIED eyes! Alas! IRM is deaf! So how can they see with their ears, what to speak of seeing with their present polluted eyes? 4. HOW TO RESCUE THEM Oh my maltreated innocent Gurudeva, You are ever present everywhere, even in this danger-filled internet cyber-space! When ignorant people envious of your super-elevated spiritual status insult and minimize you, we fear for their hereafter, and dread talking to them directly, face to face, for they are deaf, blind and maliciously dangerous for their own good. Even my own god brothers tend to be obstructive for they dislike my candid outspoken modus operandi, assuming that you will not approve my ways while they themselves do little or nothing to fight injustices done to Your Divine Grace. Right or wrong, I have full faith that you will support me so long as you know my real intentions: first, to glorify you, and second, to try to rescue your blasphemers [with your help of course] even if I have to use rough tactics, like a life-saver has to sometimes knock out a drowning person before rescuing him, lest both drown in the struggle. 5. ONE-WAY PASSPORT TO ETERNAL HELL Your consoling presence everywhere gives me courage and confidence to try to defend your integrity, my pranadhana Gurudeva, not that it is necessary or possible for this powerless fool to defend you in any way when you are already far from all danger, for you are krsnalingita vigraha, always in the sweet and safe embrace of Krsna. Still, if I’m worth my weight in stool, it behooves me to offer this insipid seva to defend and speak your glories hoping it makes your adversaries repent or less envious of you after I debunk the junk they wrote---the dung in which they’ve sunk themselves so deep, trapped in Kali’s boomerang effect! They are bent upon rushing on a ONE-WAY-NO-RETURN-TRIP, using sadhu-ninda as their foolish passport-cum-visa, to that damned hell where they’ll suffer so long as the sun and moon keep shining. However, if, by your forgiveness, even one if not all of them can be saved, I’d consider my endeavour worth it. 6. DISQUALIFICATION Dearest Gurudeva, mindful of your compassionate, ‘wake up’ verdict that the only qualification possessed by your so-called sisyas---[read that as almost ALL of kaliyuga’s so-called devotees within and without ISKCON and other religious organizations] ---is disqualification, I admit being the lowest of those insignificant followers of yours, unqualified to be your real sisya. In your last prakata days with us you had lamented [and you still lament in your aprakata lila], as did “Simha-guru” Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur before you, that you are an ‘abhagyavan guru’, an unfortunate guru who has not even a single real sisya. Why? Well, because we are not really surrendered to you. Our so-called surrender is conditional, artificial, and partial. This is also true of almost every so-called sisya of Srila Prabhupada, what to speak of his guru’s sisyas. Of course, he and you are the extremely rarest, superexcellent examples of ‘SADSISYAS’! 7. NOT ASCENDING, BUT DESCENDING GURUS Guru-mahasaya! Your own Gurudeva whom you always SEE and refer to so sweetly as “My most revered spiritual master” also says the same thing in his Bhagavad-gita [Preface], “We hope….that people will derive the greatest benefit by studying Bhagavad-gétä As It Is as we have presented it here, and if even one person becomes a pure devotee of the Lord, we shall consider our attempt a success”, indicating the rareness or virtual absence of real devotees [in a tangent way to not discourage his indelibly conditioned yavana-mlecca followers thinking themselves great Vaisnavas [!]. Reading this, only those of your ‘followers’ who are sentimental fools will rush to the conclusion that Srila Prabhupada was referring to you, my pranadhana Gurudeva, as that one unique person. No, You did not have to become a real devotee. You were ‘born’ one. At your very first meeting with Srila Prabhupada in Vrndavan he had already recognized you as his most elevated fellow nitya-siddha devotee of Krsna, a Radha-priya-sakhi like himself. Out of external formality, even without your asking, he offered you sannyas on the very day you both met. He first gave you diksa followed quickly by sannyas. Of course this made many very green with envy. You had both descended directly from the spiritual world out of compassion to try to save us nitya-baddha worthless fools groveling in the sweet urgings of Maya’s lap, without ACTUALLY wanting to dislodge ourselves from her ugly yet ravishing clutch. As long as any atomic traces of [what to speak of deadly contagion in] our material diseases, Kama-Krodha-Lobha-Moha-Mada-Matsarya [Lust-Anger-Greed-Illusion-Madness-Envy], remain in close contact with us, ‘avaliptasya’, it is impossible to escape Maya’s sinfully sweet embrace. Then what can we SEE? Can those blind sadhu-offenders of IRM SEE your revered Gurudeva as you SEE him? 8. NOT WORTH REBUTTING IRM POINT BY POINT Dear Gurudeva, I find it pointless to rebut IRM point by point. Their entire sore point rests SINGULARLY on their inability to SEE Srila Prabhupada WHILE YOU ARE ALWAYS SEEING.HIM. If they are not ignorant, they must be envious of you. What can ignoramuses and envious people SEE beyond their material vision? Rebutting such people’s scholarly insults is a waste of time. Just SEE---their pitiful case rests on 18 quotations of Srila Prabhupad, 17 of them ---including a few repetitions---are from his letters, conversations, talks and walks. Only one is from Srimad Bhagavatam which has practically no relevance to IRM’s BLIND way of SEEING. I can’t help feeling sorry for IRM’S shallow IQ. They are too dumb to acknowledge the fact that in his walks, talks, letters and conversations Prabhupada is addressing the limited intellectual level of his neophyte listeners, according to time, place and circumstance, hoping for their own sake that at least one or two of them may mature in due course of time. Alas, I’m alarmed that they want to go on crawling in their crib! They reject your words of compassionate wisdom. They spitefully see only apparent contradictions where you give absolute truths. Yes, Gurudev, “FROGS CANNOT DIGEST GHEE” even after decades of acting as ISKCON-devotees! Ruining their lives with sadhu-ninda, they remain a nuisance even after deserting their Guru’s ISKCON! ALAS! 9. CLEAR VISION OF A VERY NEW ISKCONITE Please permit me to show how retarded they are in their vision. Although veterans like Adridharan of Kolkata, Sundargopal of Singapore, etc, of IRM-infamy, had the good fortune to have met you in person, spoken with you, listened to your incredibly wonderful classes, etc, they envied you. So they could not understand or SEE who you really are. That’s not new. If such pathetic ring leaders of meaningless rebellion have no quality to SEE beyond mundane vision, it’s obvious they never really SAW their guru Srila Prabhupad beyond the physical plane. NO WONDER THEY GET ALL WORKED UP WHEN THEY HEAR YOUR QUESTIONS “Do you see Prabhupada? Do you hear from Prabhupada? Is he speaking to you?” How many who had close contact with Krsna could SEE Him as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, what to speak of SEEING Him after winding up His earthly lila? Are Krsna and great acaryas made of flesh and bone? The IRM leaders cannot cover their shame when i contrast their blindness with the crystal clear vision of a very young, well-informed Belgian admirer and true worshiper of Your Divine Grace named Jaya-gopal das . He had never seen or met you in this life…perhaps in some past lives. Yet he has the right vision to SEE you as a result of having had the greatest opportunity of getting your mercy through your books, lecture tapes, CDs, VCDs, and hearing of your unlimited mahimas through proper association. He SEES you with his EARS and other senses, though not with his EYES. In his 2006 Vyasa-puja offering to you, Gurudeva, you yourself SAW how he glorified you with his most touching and inspiring rendering of his 4-page Vyasa-puja. Some excerpts from that offering can help your croaking adversaries SEE you better: “As a river cannot flow without its two banks, similarly ISKCON, in its real and supreme identity cannot exist without both you and Srila Prabhupada simultaneously united.” “Your mission is to factually give Krsna-prema to those deserving souls being purified by Srila Prabhupada’s preliminary instructions. Your life simultaneously shows a perfect example of devotional service, guru-nistha, and seva, preparatory bhajana, loyalty to the siddhanta in all respects and dedicated preaching. Without accepting you as such, from this point onwards nobody in the entire universe will ever be able to achieve the prema Sriman Gauranga Mahaprabhu came to taste Himself and distribute. Indeed there is no alternative but through you. It is not that Srila Prabhupada couldn’t give this prema, but it is the Lord’s desire to have it accomplished through you. Who amongst Srila Prabhupada’s followers other than yourself was qualified to receive it? Of course, your receiving of this highest benediction is a mere lila, as there was never a time when you were not drowning in this ocean of prema-bhakti. Indeed, thirty years after Srila Prabhupada’s departure, you are the only one of his disciples thus far known to be authorized by Srila Prabhupada to become guru. To the best of my knowledge everything else is laghu. Thus it is transcendentally established that after Srila Prabhupada you were the acarya of all gaudiya vaisnavas in the entire universe. Nitya-siddha acaryas come very rarely, only to complete a specific mission. In the future, more may come according the divine will of Sriman Gauranga Mahaprabhu, but a perfect and complete basis has been laid by the divine couplet of both you and your Master, to have the parampara spread out for ten thousand years in this blessed Kali-yuga.” “I know what you have done for me, what you are doing for me and what you want to do for me. Therefore I belong to you.” ….[My exact sentiments that moisten my eyes, Gurudeva.] 10. LET’S ‘SEE’ WHAT IT IS TO REALLY SEE Gurudeva, I cannot imagine that, after reading just these few transparent excerpts from the very fortunate, simple but bright young Jaya-gopal, there can still linger any doubts in the hearts of the IRM, GBC, and other envious leaders and their gangs. Are they not aware after all these years that, but for the material covering, every jiva-atma can really SEE every other soul? As a descending acarya, you were free from any such covering. Therefore you could SEE Prabhupada even after his aprakata lila. Knowing that we, your fallen sisyas, were not as fortunate, you goaded us to shed our blindfold and SEE Prabhupada everywhere. That IS after all your special way to teach us how we should not only SEE and feel your presence when you are bodily ‘present’, but also to SEE you even more clearly when you are ‘bodily’ absent but ‘spiritually’ present. Of course it will take us many lifetimes to reach that level of vision. But Gurudeva, you just want to speed it up for us. That’s why, as the first step, you told us that with proper hearing, we will be able to “SEE” with our ears the real guru from the bogus. Later real SEEING will manifest. So, why can’t your IRM and other peers SEE what Jaya-gopal SEES in you though you are beyond vision? What wonderful spell are you casting over those who have never even seen you? Why can’t your foolish adversaries be drawn into your magic aura? Those of us who are lucky to have a tiny bit of understanding of Your Divine Grace’s status as our most loving sadguru, though we be your useless and unqualified sisyas, have only you to thank because you have yourself shown us in numerous ways how much you love, adore and obey your own Guru-maharaj Srila Prabhupada. That’s what Paramatma prompted me not only to address you at your 1995 Vyasa-puja as the ASTRONOMICAL ANUGA OF SRILA PRABHUPADA, but also to acknowledge you as “THE SWEETEST BREATH OF VRNDAVAN AIR”. Also, “UNIVERSES SHRINK UNDER YOUR WIDE UMBRELLA OF COMPASSION” to show why you descended from the Spiritual World when you could hardly bear to see the suffering masses of this dark world of maya. One day when all your wayward envious peers and god brothers are reformed, they will SEE you as their greatest peer and god brother and worship you as they are supposed to worship their own Guru, Srila Prabhupada. CONCLUSION My Dearest Gurudeva, Thank you very much for inspiring and guiding me through this rather unpleasant affair. I am acutely aware that I am not ‘diplomatic’ in handling it, for if I try to be artificially diplomatic, the gravity of the offences committed against you will be diluted. Kali will continue to reign over the offenders. So I’m praying that my spontaneous, necessarily abrasive style will prick the conscience of the more introspective ones among your willful offenders. Then you being the real SEER not only of your Jagadguru Srila Prabhupada but also of all jivas including your nitya-baddha followers, can shower your causeless mercy on the repentant ones. Then their vision will become clear, first through their ears, then their eyes. When they understand this, they will say, “I SEE what you mean. “ Please forgive this patita-adhama-pamara soul, Gurudeva, for all my offences committed knowingly and unknowingly against you and other real Vaisnavas.. gourgovindsevak-senan g s senan Singapore 8th February 2008
