The only way to save sacred Ganga is to prevent the flow of industrial effluents into the river from thousands of water based industries on its backs esp. in Kanpur and Unnao or similar locations downstream.

Hundreds of tanneries woned by Muslims have the last laugh polluting the river by massive effluents discharged untreated and they cannot be touched politically due to their massive influence through the Congress or other vote-bank politics parties.

Some strong administrator should enforce the law and see that the effluents are collected in an effluent treatment plant, treated o BOD and other permitted specifications before discharging into ganga.

I have myself seen how Pollution Control Boards are corrupt and ineffective, interested only in collecting Hafta-s and Ganga continues to be wailing with the chemicals/ organic ,matter dumped into it massively. If you are in Kanpur, drive down to Jajmau and walk on the banks of the river up to JK Rayons!!

Dear Kumarji,

The whole of India needs a makeover and the whole system of

administration needs a re-shufle. The laws need to be stricter and

enforcement measures of same more stricter. First thing to be eradicated

is " haftas " from whole of India, and I believe in the Muslim laws to be

incorporated here ( Not Muslims themselves who have been prominently the

cause of the present hell in India )and anybody caught accepting bribes

or paying bribes, both sides their hands must be cut and assigned to the

fire. Just 2-3 punishments like this will deter and put some sense and

fear in the other officials who will dare not indulge in this ever

again.

Now we no more need a democracy, neither a constitution, and neither

anything known as secularism.

What we need now is " Dictatorship " , a " Hindu Rashtra " and a strong law

enforcing governance.

I fully agree with you. A strong Govt. at Centre with no elections for 10 years and no Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha, but ruled by a distinguished group of men of impeccable charcter and performance, be in bureaucracy or Politics, several examples available and still active but subdued due to political intimidations.
