One reason you may not have had replies is that you haven't enclosed your

chart, which I've now done. Most of the gurus here have no time to draw up

the charts themselves.

Dear Grishma,

I am sorry that I could not look at your chart as I am doing my night

shift.Still I have just gone through your chart.Now see your 10th house from

Lagna Vrischika.It is Simha Rasi and its lord is Surya who is with Lagna lord

Kuja is in 3rd from Lagna but is 6th from 10th indicating you have to work

instead of own business.Also 10th is occupied by 3rd and 4th lord Shani

®,Rahu and with Gulika and is in parivartana with 10th lord Surya.The

exchange of 3rd and 10th lords indicates Khala Yoga resulting in progress in

profession,takes bold stands and is courageous.Now the combination of

Shani®,Rahu and Gulika indicates profession connected to poison and here it

is about medicines.Now Surya and Shani are enemic to each other,so you may not

be able to run your own business as for running one's own business Kuja should

be strong and here Kuja by look seems to be exalted but he is combust because

of nearness to Surya.Karma Karaka Shani is in 10th ,so working will be better

Nevertheless, there is a very simple rule to determine if a native

would be in doing business or service related work. Look at your

natal 6th and 7th houses. Use rules for strength and find out which

one is stronger.

Your rule would be on its head if you tried applying it to my chart, which

has 6th lord Sa in 7th where he gets lotsa digbala. I've always been in

service and never even remotely wanted to do business (except the monkey

variety )...

Dear Ramapriya,

Forget the rashi chart in this.. see dashamsa. Some time back I have had

two people who had the same

rashi chart (difference between 10 minutes).. They even didn't look

alike.. However, I must admit there were

similariteis. Both have taken the same line in secondary education, both

have elder brother with bad relationship (however,

one brother is highly succesful, while another is lazy fellow), both

practice mediation etc. So there is a sort

of some similarity in the frame of life.. The secret lies in divisonal

charts... See Saravali- NO STEP in JYOTISH

without Divisional Charts...

Perhaps it's a general rule only

in 'Crux of Vedic' Pt.Rath among other things says :"The sixth house rules

business/service,?/ and the seventh house rules business. If there are more

planets in the sixth house, or if it is otherwise stronger, service is

indicated. A stronger seventh house gives an independent business. Similarly,

the sixth lord promotes service while the seventh lord promotes business. This

could mean instability in service during the period of the seventh lord.

Similarly, debilitated malefic in the seventh house will encourage service as

they will damage the business"

but also suggests that D10 be analized in DETAIL, as in a Rashi.

Lots of valuable information in addition to what I've extracted here as most

relevant at the time- if you don't have a Book, you can (for emergency) go to

Applying KP principles: 10th sub-lord is Rahu, in Rahu. He represents SAT as he

is conjunct with Saturn:

7th Sub Lord is SAT: 6th sub-lord is Jup: Service is ruled out

So you will do and prosper in Business: However, since sub-lord is Saturn, you

are likely to be cheated by the Business partner- SO if you enter business, do

it on your own, or take your Husband ass the partner, so that even if cheated,

the money remains in the family. Marriage is likely to be delayed, due to

Saturn.
