Dear Ganesan,

She is most kindful Goddess mother. She wears costumes representing Hindu Culture and moves in dignified manner holding her trident in hand. Her sweet smile can take hearts of devotees. Her eyes can deliver pleasant rays like moon to devotees and sharp laser beams to wrong doers. These laser beams are bright white with very high voltage that can burn wrong doers into ashes. There is no comparision to how she would save her devotees. She is Goddess of Gods, yet very kindful and caring to good human beings. Pleasant cold waves would pass through hearts of devotees, when her kindness is recalled. She is not an imagination of few sensitive people, but her existence is reality. Source : Lectures by learned saints.

On this holy day I wish to be with you to bow my head and join my hands to salute our Great Divine Mother.

Best Regards

Upendra V

How great is the krupa of Maa Parvathi !!!

Today is the Guru poornima day , the full moon day. I just came out

and saw the moon just now with its full brilliance indicating the face of Devi and offered namaskar. I was just reminded of Sowndarya lahari, the great sanskrit verses of Shri Adi sankara in praise of the goddess, Maa Parvathi. He compares the moon to the face of Devi. In one of the verses ( I could not recall the number ) "Bhavani Thwam dase mayee vidhara drishtim sa karunam ithi stothum vanchana gatha yathi bhavani thwam ithi yaha; dadaiva thwam thasmai thisasee nija sayujya pathaveem brahmendra sputa makuta nirajitha patham.", He says that when a devotee just starts pronouncing the word Bhavani by uttering the first letter, She understands that she is only being

called and rushes to help the devotee and even confers on him sayujya pathavi , meaning salvation. How great is the karunya of Maa

Parvathi!!!.

Bhavani twam dase is from Saundaryalahari 22 :

Bhavani twam dase is one of the most powerful meditative tools we

have in Shakta tantra.

"Do you, O lady (bhavani), extend to me, your slave, a compassionate

glance!" — when one desiring to praise you utters the words "you, O

lady", at that moment you grant him a state of identity with you,

with your feet illuminated (as in the evening waving of lights

before a god's image) by the crests of Mukunda (Vishnu), Brahma, and

Indra.

[note There is a pun in this statement, for the words "you, O lady"

(bhavani tvam) also mean 'may I become you'. A worshiper wins Devi's

grace and achieves identity with her when he utters these words]

ON.THE GREAT MAHAVAKYAS AHAM BRAHMASMI,TATWAMASI,PRAJNANAM BRAHMA,

AYAMATMAM BRAHMA ALL ARE DIFFERENT MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SUPREME

SOUL WITHIN ONE.BUT ITS SO HARD TO PRACTISE THEM,EVEN BY A YOGI.

There can never be too many verses to describe the kindness of mother. So I add another verse from same source(Soundarya Lahiri)

tvadannyah paanibhyaam abhaya varadou devataganaah

tvameka na yevasi prakatita varabheetyabhinayaa

bhayaartratum datum phalamapica vanchaasamadhicam

sharanye lokanaam tavahi caranaveva nipunou

There are many gods depicted in the pose(bhangima) of protection and blessing(with hand raised and palm outwards). You are the only one who manifests and seen by the devotee without this varadamudra because...

A true mother does not stand in abhaya mudra. She rushes to her child, soothens its fears, showers it with affection and gives the child many many times of what it is asking for.The child does not have to pray for a wish from the mother. She rushes even before it opens its lips to call Maaa...

All the worlds in this creation fall at your feet praying ,since only you have the infinite kindness and the skill(capacity to give) to protect and look after all.
