Dear Members, Hi - I am Sharath from Bangalore, India.

I got my Rudraksh Mala from Rudra Centre during the last week of

July. It contains a 5, 6, 7, 8 and 13 Mukhi. The 5 and 7Mukhi are on one

side of the mala and the 6 and 8Mukhi are on the other side with 13

mukhi at the base of both sides. I started wearing this Mala sometime

during the last days of July(28th or 29th), probably a New moon day(+/-1

day). So after about 40 to 45 days (or should i say about 3 fortnights),

ie yesterday(Sept 11)(i guess it was a full moon day), My mala broke at

the point of 6 Mukhi. As a result the 6 Mukhi got separated from the Mala.

I would love to hear your opinions and comments on this and also

request members to tell me what it specifically signifies.

I plan to re-string this bead with the Mala using a thread - what

coloured thread should i use and what type of thread should i use? . Is

Red ok? what should be the thickness of the thread? Right now my mala is

strung using silver.

Thanks and Regards,

-Sharath.

Namaskar Sharathji:

6 Mukhi rudraksha destroys worldly sorrows...so the break there tells

me that significant karma was destroyed to cause you freedom from

worldly sorrows.

Red thread is what is usually used for stringing.

20 gram weight is what is usually used and is most times doubled.

Perhaps members that are more skilled with thread can be of more help

as I find it difficult to work with.

Many blessings to you my friend, in your good fortune :-)

Om Namah Shivaya
