A joke...

"Enlightenment is a process of self-induced psychosis. All of us here are

in the process of voluntarily working hard toward making ourselves go

crazy!" ;-)

If you don't get it, look at it from the perspective of dualism...

AT LAST!! I'VE REACHED TOTAL ENLIGHTENMENT! I AM PERFECT! (LOL)...

I don't know about you, but... my sink is full of dirty dishes. My

countertop is a mess. My carpet needs swept. My furniture is dusty. My

bedroom is a "Disaster area." I wear old clothes that are almost worn out.

I haven't shaven in weeks. I don't bother with showers until the oils of

my body begin to burn my eyes to an annoying extent. I don't do laundry

until the absolute last minute, and sometimes I wear the same pair of

clothes for 3 or 4 days. I don't even keep up on toilet paper until an

"emergency arises." I don't care about all these objects and things and

actions anymore. They're unimportant. They aren't what I'm here for.

What *WOULD* a "mental health professional" think? ;-)

With Love,

Tim

living alone, perhaps? :-)

It DOES need "dusted off..." ;-)... actually, I just did some cleaning

around here (lucky I have a dishwasher, or I'd throw the damn dishes out

and go to paper/plastic), it was getting ridiculous.

I do brush my teeth, at least once every 2 days (usually once per day).

This is due to the necessity of HAVING teeth, so that I may eat, and my

body may continue to physically exist. It would be too distracting to have

to go on a liquid diet <g>.

I only leave my apartment every 3 days or so. So I'm not concerned about

looks, particularly (and even when I do, I'm still not particularly

concerned). I'm not married, have no girlfriend and have nothing to

"prove" to this society. I am in this world, but not of it. The only

DOING I care about is BEING. With this in mind and heart, who can care

about dusty furniture?

Not everyone on the nondual path is in the same circumstances I am... in

fact, my circumstances are rare (I won't go into great detail, except to

say that I'm in a position to be alone and by myself 95% of the time).

Hehehe... could be... however, before I "discovered" nonduality, I cared

about all this junk a lot more. Now, it's all water under the bridge. I'm

here to BE and to SERVE. How can I care what the clothing on this body

looks like? For what reason should such a thing matter? Let others waste

time on idle thoughts like these.

As long as I don't get arrested for public indecency on the occasions I

leave my apt., who cares? :-)

LOL. It sounds like you suffer from a dirty 'mind'. Do as you do with

you. Just brush your teeth from time to time. Good breath goes a long

way in a society where 'looks' 'matter'. LOL.

They don't know what to think. That is why they allow you to live as you

choose. There is something very humbling to a 'professional' when you

tackle there concepts and put them together like so much lego. They

don't like that 'smart ass'. And thus, you ARE free. :o)
