Guest guest Posted March 5, 1999 Report Share Posted March 5, 1999 Harsha: Thank you Jan, Janpa, Michael, Rob, Bruce, Madhya, Tim, Tim, Rick, Marcia, Jill, Gloria and Gloria for your recent very beautiful posts. The poetry has been very moving as well. We have many experienced, wise, gentle, and loving people on this list sharing this space. Many people who recently joined like Bruce, Gene, Jill and Martin are well known from the other lists and we are delighted to have their company. Electronic mail is not the same as being face to face. But we can often feel the good feelings and vibrations of others. Also it is possible to have misunderstandings more easily on e-mail because the facial gestures and body language is absent. That has been my experience in the past. Guest guest Posted March 5, 1999 Report Share Posted March 5, 1999 Dear Harsha, You're welcome :-)... if you (or anyone else) ever feels I "post too much" to the distraction of the words of others, I would appreciate it if you'd let me know, so the same thing doesn't happen here that happened on Jerry's list (resentment among some list members for "monopolizing too much Attention"). I *DO* crave a great deal of attention from other human beings, it is a fault, but in a way understandable - I live alone, and see nobody for days at a time. This is the only medium I have for communicating with Others. Email is an interesting medium. Although as you say, misunderstandings may arise more easily, there is also an advantage - the natural human tendency to attach to things like physical looks, stature, age, sex, etc. is mostly not present here. In a way we can share pure Consciousness on the level of thought (which is not Realization, but certainly "better than nothing" :-) So Email has both an inherent disadvantage, and some unusual advantages over "being in person," in My experience. I find this community very stimulating and similarly very emptying... grin ... It is as Master H described it... a gathering of Eagles in the Company of Saints (Not exactly his words) ). Since any appelation will suffice, I find it fun to see you all in this fashion. I did not know that it was a non-dual enviroment I sought until I was sitting in your parlor and listening to the discussions which flow from your bright awarenesses. Through all of it, I sense a flow of a Beingness which both resonates within me, and causes me to lean forward in my seat to hear more. So much Beauty to Behold! I love the poetry. I am the part of You who confesses to being a Leela Dancer, engaged in the Play and not here at all I am like the temple tothe Sun at Konarak. It is to the Empty Seat that I bow to and grin with. Interesting how many I've "run into" with biblical names lately... there are two "Timothy's" here, a "Samuel," now a "Joshua," and I'm almost positive I've seen others. I'm sure it's purely coincidental, but interesting to observe nonetheless. But I diverge.
