is sentimentalism"

So true. This platform does make for a good foundation for spiritual practice. It is very shaky.

Presently there is much talk about people giving up their faith in God because He let Katrina happen. "How could there be a God who allows things like this to happen." The anquish is understandable. We should deeply question all that happens what to speak of something like this.

The problem is those who are teaching in these churches have a very poor fund of knowledge to draw from so how can they provide proper shelter for people.

We hear them now saying things like, "Courage, have faith and He will help you rebuild your life just like it was." I just heard this from a very famous preacher. I have heard him speak a couple times and within a certain framework he was good. But this is beyond them. Many people cannot be satified with answers meant for children.

Suppose someone from New Orleans approached you with a similar question as to why they should keep building faith in a God that allows such catastrophes to happen. How would you answer?
