Hari Bol Prabhu!

Are these Ramayana, Bhagavatam files playable in winamp?

I don't have the real player as it has too much spyware and system bugs.

Hare Krishna Prabhu, you can dl Ramayana, and Bhagavatam from the Signature link at bottam of page.

Realplayer IS really irritating anyway.:

Download this, then you can play on Windows Media Player:

Real Alternative 1.42

[6.40 MB]

Click this Link:

http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm

[scrool down then Download: Real Alternative 1.42]

Description of the Package is here:

http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/finalbuilds.htm

Real Alternative 1.42 (6.40 MB)

Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer or RealOne Player from Real Networks.

Supported are: RealAudio (.ra .rpm), RealMedia (.rm .ram .rmvb .rpx .smi .smil), RealText (.rt) and ReadPix (.rp). It also supports RealMedia content that is embedded in webpages. The very user-friendly installation is fully customizable, which means that you can install only those components that you want.

From a site I found of google:

Install the "Tara Audio Video Plug-in" for Winamp. You can find it in the Plug-in page at www.winamp.com. Once you download, just click on the exe file to install. Now Winamp will play Real files.

May need to Download Latest version of Winamp. 5.8 as well.

Or just click this:

http://www.free-codecs.com/Real_Audio_Input_Plugin_for_Winamp_download.htm

If it asks you to download some 'spinner' say no thx. I tried it and it works. Winamp can play Realplayer. /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Oh the boon! MP3 heaven! Perfect compliment to my windows veda base [which I bought from BBT]

The audio on the Bhagavatam and Ramayana is good.

So how would I play these in winamp again [i use DFX] - the Tara download wasn't an EXE - so it was a dead link.

I will upgrade winamp.

I upgraded winamp with codec and there it is - of course the mono files sound better with DFX enhancement - I can tell you what that is and how to get it free - if you wish... [i can email the files to you they are small]

Is at least upto Canto 10 and beyond. Least I am sure it is. I sort of spaced out while searching in Vedabase what verse starts where, too much info overload.

http://www.krsnaconsciousness.org/Gauranga/Bhagavata/Getright/Getright-for-Downloads.htm

Go here, for instructions on dl with getright. Ok I wouldn't mind those dfx files, may come in handy one day:

Glad to be of service, maybe send me Vedabase as well. [Just kidding]

Hari Bol!

Super! All downloads are done - I've got up to tape 29 - 7th canto - maybe there will be more to download later - I have about sixty hours to listen to - that's good for now...

Thank you Pankaja dasa - for directing me to these files!

I've sent you the DFX for winamp - along with the instructions on how to keep using it free.

Were you able to make sense out of the reinstall procedure to be done every 14 days? Also when it says "extend trial" - at the end of three days - don't just dump everything as noted and redo the install.

I am happy it has improved your sound quality!

Should have logged on - I should have said Were you able to make sense out of the reinstall procedure to be done every 14 days? Also when it says "extend trial" - at the end of 14 days - don't say extend - just dump everything as noted and redo the install.

Hari Bol!

That's good - so you know then which files to delete - and of course to do a system clean-up use the 'do them all' in the tools tab - as that is an auto feature that cleans dead entries.

It is a good little program and of course it keeps the sound program going!

These Bhagavatam and Ramayana MP3's are so nice to listen to - I find that it's nearly like the original 'hearing'!

Do you have a good quality Prabhupada video you could share - just so people have one moving picture to look at offline.

I am surprised there are no free downloads of the nature online - just streaming videos.

Seems that ISKCON should have a video site that offers free video steams and on demand video downloads - of all the video materials at ITV-ISKCON's disposal!

This would be a great way to attract millions of people [they could get donations for it] and it would offer the internet world - an alternative to a great deal of nasty internet content and - even to the bogus video downloads - like porn.

Not everyone can buy - not everyone who can buy will buy - clearly - at this time of intense kali yuga this is one thing ISKCON could and should do...what you think?

The thing is this, when I convert the Dat. file [DVD file] to Wma. Then I have options of convertion. Now when I do it for 26K connection the Picture is low quality but the sound is ok. When I do for 56K connection or higher the sound quality seems to be radically reduced. And the file size gets to alomost 23-45Mb! So this is the problem. So far only 'Srila Prabhupada Your Ever Well Wisher' video has been good quality. And coverting it was a good thing. You can download Videos from the site :

Sorry I hope I have not been any burden or bother to you - I have found more than I wanted - so I think you for all you helped me to find - but I do not want to sap any more of your time and energy - and no I am not tired downloading all this bliss - it is enlivening me - I cannot sleep I want to listen to the Bhagavatam so much. I even go to sleep with it playing - in the hopes it will "program my dreams" with great things!

So on that note - I have enjoyed our interaction and I shall not bother you for anymore things.

Hope to chat in the strings with you on the various topics though!

Your servant,
