Of course, we recognize the glorious acarya, Lord Jesus Christ, and the celebration of his appearance. Yet, the term "Immaculate Conception" refers to the birth of His mother, Mary. This shaktivesa avatar is so potent in Her own right. Her appearance externally to many threoughout history is a sample of the Lord in the Heart represented by His concertt, who never leaves his side. The story of her appearance to Juan at Guadaloupe, to Lucia at fatima, to Bernadette at Lourdes, if proof of her status as one who comes and goes by her own will, not connected to material birth. She was born of Hanna and Joachim, and was so heavily laden with Love of the Supreme Lord, that at age five, she astounded all the holy men of her day. She is known as "Israel" which translates as the wife of God. Some have speculated that she is the Mother of God, but this is a misconception, as Lord Jesus Christ consistantly denies that He is the Supreme Lord, that He is here on His Fathers business. So christmas is certainly the celebration of the Birth of Lord Jesus, but it is simultaneously the celebration of the glorious devotional service performed by the Wife of The Supreme Lord. All glories to the Blessed Mother. This is Her time, and she humbly asks us all, throiugh Lucia, to chant japa daily. The Rosary is a combination of the initiation acceptance of the disciples of Lord Jesus Christ (The Lords Prayer) and her prayer, the Hail Mary, which is a humble submission by the servant to the most confidential servant of the Supreme Lord. By sheer numbers, those who chant the Names of the supreme Lord on beads faithfully and daily can have the effect of sparing the entire creation of the plights brought about by horrible irreligiosity and faithlessness. Guest guest Report post Posted December 13, 2004 Hare Krsna, thank you much. It seems that Mata Mary is always there in one's darkest hour. She has not only appeared here, but in other places as well. I reached in my coin jar to buy food, and saw one old lady who was in greater suffering. I pulled out a coin, and instead of a coin, there was a medal of Mother Mary, which I gave to the lady. Her life was improved, and both of us were enlivened.
