So he was extemely generous to Dhritarastra. Dhritarastra tells Duryodhana that uh, "Pandu was wonderful to the family and he was especially kind to me. His children are the same way."

 

But then Duryodhana keeps pushing these points; you know this will happen… that will happen.

 

And Dhritarastra becomes… He never really likes it, but he just looks the other way… and he became corrupted.

 

Because that is the point of Mahabharata. Mahabharata is so powerful because it talks about a very modern situation.
