Calamus root AKA Sweet Flag or sanskrit Vacha. But the root cut and sifted. Powder small amounts in a small coffee grinder as you use it.

This is an amazing herb. Very strong use only a veggie capsule or two at any one time. If taken too much it will induce vomiting.

Legend has it yogis trying to raise kundalini shakti would take this herb to help purify the subtle nadis. Who can say?

It is a strong nerve tonic but not a sedative. It has mild stimulating properties. It helps me focus the mind on one task until completion something I can't do without medication.

It imparts a sense of well being and helps me maintain a positive outlook, and for me that ain't easy.

There are no up and downs like a chemical stimulant but don't take late in the evening, you won't want to sleep but will be able to if you must.

It was also used in India as an antidote to the ill effects of ganja.

I hate the taste but some people chew on a little piece of the root and report a quicker effect.

Google it and then give it a try.
