Hi,

Recently , I have been feeling depressed about the world events. I hope you are too, so we should organize and do something to stop it .

I am thinking of making a prayer time for everyone, where every one around the world, where ever you are prays for peace in the world.

What do the people here think the timings should be and how we are going to do it, also , please spread the word around, so that it can reach alot of people and they can pray too.

Peace.

If we chant and pray continously world peace will follow without separate endeavor.

Otherwise we can se war as a motivator to preach and become liberated.

I can understand the motivation to pray for peace. We all hold that as a desire in our hearts. But more importantly is to pray and chant for pure love of God.

We must hold the goal firmly in place even if for now we have mixed desires. Peace will follow like flowers blooming with the sunrise.

"May there be good fortune throughout the universe,

and may all envious persons be pacified.

May all living entities become calm

by practicing bhakti-yoga,

for by accepting devotional service

they will think of each other's welfare.

Therefore let us all engage in the service

of the supreme transcendence, Lord Sri Krsna,

and always remain absorbed in thought of Him."

Srimad-Bhagavatam 5.18.9

" The material world is full of envious persons, but if one frees himself of envy, he becomes liberal in his social dealings and can think of others' welfare. Anyone who takes up Krsna consciousness and engages himself completely in the service of the Lord cleanses his mind of all envy (manas ca bhadram bhajatad adhoksaje). Therefore we should pray to Lord Nrsimhadeva to sit in our hearts. We should pray, bahir nrsimho hrdaye nrsimhah: ‘Let Lord Nrsimhadeva sit in the core of my heart, killing all my bad propensities. Let my mind become clean so that I may peacefully worship the Lord and bring peace to the entire world.'"
