How do worship Pic of Nitai-Gaura?

I understand the pic of gaura-nitai is same as diety in the temple, please advice me, as Prabhupada said to do.

Of course, the cleaning and dressing instructions will not apply but all the rest will. Put a garland on the pic and also have a smaller pic of your guru.
