The Bhagavad Gita is a book, writen by his divine grace Srila Prabhupada. His aim of writing this book is to bring easter phylospia to the west. The Bhagavad gita storyline is about Arijuna talking to Krishna (god), asking questions that everyone has in their mind, and getting the answeres from the lord himself. The setting is in a battlefield, as a family became divide, because of the land they had to share thoghter. Krishna tried his best to prevent this battle, but the ignorant man, did not listen to the higher authority, and now a huge battle, between brothers, sissters, cousins, friends, masters and trainies.

 

Arijuna did not want to fight his own family, and people he grew up with, and asked Krishna to prevent this war. Krishna told him he must fight this battle, and that he should not worry about anyone, as the body will die evantually, but the soul inside the body, cannot be touched, and will be there, beyond the end of time. Krishna explaines in this book very detailed, on how the universe works, how life works, how nature works, and pretty much everything else, that science cannot explain, even this days.

 

 

 

We are in the age of Kalie, age of ignorance and confusion, this age is like the winter of the 4 seasons. After this age, we will start over with the age of satya yuga. This means we will start all over again, which is a good thing, because mostly, god has died in this day of age, and our source of information is coming from this Gaia (illusion) Material world, which is manifest in this miserable planet, which will die soon because of our exploiting machines that keep on sucking the the planets lifes.

 

There is a saying, if you ever say the name of Krishna, you are the best among the group you are interacting with. Krishna states, that everything, in this dimsion is an illusion, the material world. Everything in this univiers, and the many other univierse, are just a temporaly station for our soul. We should never think of us as a human, or never think that we standing up or sitting down, or eating, because truly, we are a soul, that has been placed inside the body, so we can reach higher planets, by being in the mode of goodness. The lord explains, that if we stay in the mode of ignorance, we will slowly, fall down in the species rank, we might be reborn as a animal, or a plant, like a tree (even a tree has coniouness.)

One small problem. Srila Prabhupad did not "write" Bhagavad Gita (although one might say he is the writer of "Bhagavad Gita As It Is"). He translated it, and wrote purports. The actual text is the dialogue between Sri Krishna and Arjuna, which is part of the bigger book "Mahabharat" which is based on a true story (religion of course) which was scribed by Vyasadev.

 

What grade is this paper for? If it's for middle or high school, you don't need to remember ALL Of that, but say that Srila Prabhupad is the translator and writer of the purports to each verse.
